Damien talking about the different vibes between the old OG Smosh Games cast to how it is currently makes a lot of sense. I was watching some older videos recently and even talking about how the vibes are so different. Not necessarily in a bad way, but you can see how ultra competitive the Games cast was (specifically between Sohinki, Lazercorn, and Jovin). They bounced off each other well, sure. But the atmosphere was definitely more tense and win-driven whereas now it's more chill. Sure they want to win, but it's become a lot more about the group dynamic and having fun then whoever's gonna win. (I think it could also do with the fact that Smosh isn't as punishment heavy anymore if you lose, so there's no need to go all out to win). It's also really relatable when Damien and Trevor talk about not knowing where to jump in during group settings/conversations. And then Amanda reassures them that they're part of the group and that jumping isn't seen as a take away, that them becoming apart of the group chaos adds to it. It's such good advice to hear, even in just an everyday standpoint. I love this. (Also Amanda is absolutely gorgeous here, just saying.)

Loved this! Damien always talks about how much he struggles socially and it’s so awesome to see how he can overcome it and push through to come across super confident. I am so stuck in my own head and I just so want to own it and move through it. The feeling of ‘other’ is so overwhelming!

I also went to culinary school studying to be a pastry chef, and graduated with flying colors! I am also the same age as Trevor. It was said in passing, but YES cooking is a job, so when you do it all day as YOUR JOB, it feels like that at home. So this aversion of kindling the passion on your own time fades. When I was baking every day, I really got into making soups and learning all the ways to cook a good steak. Now in college getting my undergrad degree, that passion has come back. When you make it your job, your relationship with the hobby changes.

I really like these long format personal types of videos where we can learn more about the Smosh members. At first I was surprised that Amanda wasn't paired with Angela or Arasha, but honestly it was very refreshing and interesting to see this kind of pairing. I think what Spencer said in a recent video is true, that we are constantly surprised by how well different pairings of cast members work with each other and how much they can build and add to the videos. I really appreciate you all being so vulnerable and open with us, I hope you guys know how much we love you all ❤

23:06 I mean 😆 they are wives in "I live in your house" but only there! Shipping should be only for fun and always respecting boundaries
@Mariethechaotic3 ай бұрын
Ok not only there though, they've been married at least two other times and they flirt constantly, hell, Angela said "this feels like my wet dream" in the first TNTL musical episode to Amanda's bit and "I just fell in love with you" to the next one. At this point they have both actively encouraged the ship but I agree, it should just be in good natured fun
@tninotmaru3 ай бұрын
@@Mariethechaotic oh yeah, they love to flirt 😆 but isn't that normal between the cast? They seem to have fun! Especially Amanda 🤭 Also, my comment wasn't about how much these two cast members feed the ship, but rather "she mentioned them being married, here's where they actually were!" moment.

I've seen a lot of Trevor discourse in comments on Smosh videos - not so much lately, but for a while when he first joined - and I'm so glad to see the love for Trevor here, and at Smosh, but especially from castmates.

I love each member of Smosh for individual reasons. The ones I don't like, or don't see enough in the specific videos I consume, I trust/am entertained by because of how the cast I DO love seems to accept and enjoy their presence. So the Smosh cast and crew that I already adore, help make me enjoy the cast and crew that I don't know well enough to have my own opinion.

Maybe i’m reading into this wrong but I feel like maybe trevor feels less of the ‘nepo baby’ situation and more of ‘imposter syndrome’. I’m the youngest person on my team at work by at least 10 years and i’m always feeling like I don’t belong bc they all have more life accomplishments than I do, even if that’s not true.
@maxinoume3 ай бұрын
Also, the talent of your different teams might vary a lot over the years. For example, in school my grades were right on the average and I had to work quite a bit more than my friends and still had worse grades than them. But when I joined my first company, after only 6 months I was in the top 5 of performers (out of 30) alongside people with varying levels of experience. And at my current company, I'm in the bottom quarter of performers but I knew when I joined that I was not the same levels as most people here. I wanted to challenge myself and gain a bunch of knowledge. The 'imposter syndrome' never left, even the few years I was a top performer. So for me it doesn't seem to be linked to my relative performance.

I can recognise a lot of myself in Damien, also being an extroverted autistic person. I always get the idea that Smosh is a super supportive group of people to work with - these videos give us some proper insight into the people that make us laugh so much.

Trevor is not only a chef, he’s a great one. Having Gordon Ramsey saying the beef Wellington you made was perfection on a plate is high praise. As a guest on Smosh he has also proved himself time and time again and is worthy of being a cast member. I enjoy everything he’s in

Great trio for this video! Loving the smosh cast crossover interviews and assumptions lately
@synicalrabbit3 ай бұрын
For Amanda's question/assumption at the end about professional actors being voice actors: The answer is yes. Think Robin Williams or Mark Hamill. Professional actors, but also known for many of their voice acting roles. Studio Ghibli has been known in particular to cast ]American actors for their English voice over adaptations and this has been met with pretty good success/reception from audiences. It's definitely a talent to be able to do both.
