It was my privilege to produce his first CD, “Call the Cops,” when Sean was 15; it was abundantly obvious then where his talent and soul would take him-to the Mountaintop!

Still a great record, that I revisit often. Sadly the joy I get from his music always comes with a heavy heart.

I am a huge Dylan fan, but I have to say, this is the best version of this song I have ever heard! Such intensity of feeling, such soul, I love it! This song prompted me to get (25 Dec 2012) a couple of Sean's CDs, I was a bit dubious about the other tracks, but I find I cannot stop playing the CDs. He was a truly talented artist, now I know why all these guitar geeks keep hyping this guy - it is so deserved! Awesome! Best discovery I have made in ages! All thanks to KZbin!

yes, the strings of the guitar are actually the nerves of the player, this is the creative process called art.

The great Paul Linden was my advisor/mentor/professor all through college. He played for Sean and knowing that I'm a guitarist and guitar enthusiast, turned me on to the amazing playing of Mr. Costello. So sad he's no longer with us - the brightest lights always burn out too early.

The very best version of Twist of Fate. Even those yahoos talking can't ruin it.

I've been listening to Mr. Costello for several years. This is my favorite of his songs. It's absolutely brilliant. His tone on his goldtop is beyond beautiful, and I don't think that anyone has ever played with more emotion.

Yeah I never thanked the guy that recorded these treasures, THANKS ANTHONY!!! I am very shy with the camera because I feel I am being intrusive but sometimes you are doing people a favor for catching something that would otherwise be missing. I imagine you were doing a pro gig, but either way you caught magic. These songs got me through periods of immense depression, and I found them by accident unfortunately Sean Costello was gone by the time caught on, the blues has lost his son. Thanks Sean for your talent and low key style, still teaching me how to walk, thanks.

Beautiful version of this great song. I followed his career for a number of years. I was first interested in him from an interview in, I think, "Blues Revue." He was deeply respectful of other blues musicians: wise beyond his years. His loss is one that really haunts me. I was about to write that he was on his way to being one of the all-time greats. But that's not right: he was one of the all-time greats. It's just sad that we had too little of his great work.

I saw Sean play at the now defunct Blue Bayou blues bar in Hillsborough NC circa 2009 or so and he blew my mind. The first set was solid but the second set was pure magic. Had the Les Paul on fire. Will never forget the energy.

Accidentally caught Sean’s concert video on a Local public TV station. Oh my gosh! Amazing voice, guitar, and emotion out of the heart and soul of Sean Costello brought me to hope that feeling will overcome numbness. So I called the director of the television station asking about this young man with the heart / voice of an angel. I wanted to know where he was playing in Omaha. Turned out the video was a gig he played at Bellevue University. The director then informed me of Sean’s death. I cried for him. His heart was out there asking for love and hugs through his music. He was the same age as my grandson…. 🎶🥲❤️

Beautiful version...and I appreciate the bass player's restraint! Tremendous solo + full exploitation o' drama offered by this Dylan song. Thanks to uploader, thanks to linkers, thanks to Sean Costello, RIP.

Zarkoon, My son told me about this incredible talent a couple of years ago. I am so sad to hear about his passing. He, I think, is truly what blues and this music is about. RIP Sean.

I'm sorry that I hadn't previously noticed the comment by DavidsZone, who wrote that "this is the best version of this song [he has] ever heard." Amen, brother. This is just tremendous: great song, great performance. This is taste defined. And this is why electric guitar is its own instrument: not just an amplified guitar, but an electric guitar.

he added an extra verse to that song, that's incredible

Best cover of this song I've ever heard. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the solo at the end (which is awesome, by the way) is deliberately directed at a noisy guy in the crowd.

Blues on a Les Paul...cool. The reason no ones heard of him is teh same old song and dance... no hit song.
