My name is Charif, I am Venezuelan by birth and Lebanese by origin, my parents are from the north of Lebanon: Ras Maska El Koura and Tripoli. I have been watching your videos since 2018, every night at home we watch one, and if there are no new ones I repeat them, I have traveled with you around the world, and thanks to those videos I learned to know Lebanon and love it deeply. But, my admiration for you died when I saw this video and I was overcome with a deep rejection towards you, this is the reason: I have been a travel agent for 28 years now, I know a lot about the world of aviation and air traffic, I have read all the development over the years of MEA and how it has become a great airline in the Middle East and Europe. I go to the subject itself: How did you have the courage to talk about the flag airline of your country the way you did in this video? Did you want champagne? Did you want a fancy meal? Did you want to see the smiling faces of the cabin crew? Did you forget what is happening in Lebanon? Thanks to MEA you were able to get home with Mrs. Nell and see your family, was that not important to you? Does what you paid hurt you? That is nothing compared to what you would have had to pay if you arrived in Lebanon by sea or by road from Syria. Why did you harm them with so much hate? It is the flag carrier of your country, a country that you say you love deeply, if you wanted to claim refunds why did you not do it in the regular way, as it should be, why did you make such hurtful and strong comments about them? HOW SHAMEFUL I FEEL FOR YOU.... If you don't like MEA, don't travel with them, don't use their VIP lounge and say that the Hummus is very good when you later speak ill of them. There was no service because of THE WAR, AND THERE WERE NO SMILES BECAUSE OF THE FLIGHT CREW'S CONCERN FOR THEIR FAMILIES AND PROPERTY. I don't know how MEA will resolve your refund problem, they will make that decision with you, if I were the airline I would NEVER LET YOU FLY ON THEIR PLANES. I feel so disappointed right now for you, Mr. Anthony, really. One last observation: thank goodness you don't live in Venezuela, I wouldn't put up with you for 30 days straight. Thank God you arrived safe and sound via MEA, the pride of Lebanon. Charif

The food company that prepare the food for MEA got destroyed during the strikes on Beirut . You should thank them for bringing you home during the war. And the ticket prices are up because of the insurance companies.

I totally agree with her comment. In the current circumstances, people are paying 1500$ just to go from Lebanon to Cyprus. Finding a way to go back to see your children is priceless. How can you complain about food and alcohol, while from the plane you could see the bombs? People are suffering.

Very selfish and disrespectful to speak about the Middle East Airlines like that. This airline and crew are risking their lives to bring you home to your family in a war torn country and you are talking about food. I thought you are promoting Lebanon and its people!!!!! This airline brought my husband back to Australia to his family last week and if it wasn’t for the crews sacrifice he will still be stuck there. Very disappointing. I expect better than that from an educated person.

I would get my facts straight before getting so defensive about MEA. He specifically excluded the crew and said it’s not their fault, his comments were directed specifically at company management. They’re majority owned by Lebanon’s Central Bank - who were one of the parties responsible, together with the corrupt political system, for the complete breakdown of the country’s financial & economic sector - remember that led to people’s money in their bank accounts being stolen. Lebanese people are done with their hard earned money being stolen & being taken advantage of - this company's profit in 2024 reached $3.8 billion. These profits were earned by taking advantage of raising prices without competition within the current security conditions in Lebanon and imposing low-cost services on travelers. This is corporate greed. They’re destroying the reputation of the company rather than being true to their brand. Greed. They’re taking advantage of people, as if it’s not bad enough how much the people have already been taken advantage of by their country & its failed & corrupt govt institutions. It’s exploitation. My sympathy lies with the Lebanese people being taken advantage of, not their corrupt institutions which have been the source of the Lebanese people’s woes. Yours should too.

TBH what MEA was providing during your return flight was definitely not on par with their usual offerings. And I dare say that MEA is almost capitalizing on the current situation in Lebanon. I see your frustration about MEA's hospitality, but at the same time however you need to be mindful that we are currently facing adversity as you already know, and you complaining about stuff not being offered (including alcohol) makes you seem completely out of touch in the current situation. If you were not satisfied, go and file a complaint without having to mention this in your videos. With that being said, I strongly agree that you must gain at least a 10-20% discount on your tickets due to the situation we all have to face. Thank you for your unfiltered truth regardless, at least you are not sugarcoating it.

Have some respect for those who are suffering. You’re traveling first class and complaining about not having alcohol or gourmet food? You’re lucky there are any flights landing in Beirut. MEA is the ONLY airline risking everything to make sure people see their families and here you are complaining about irrelevant things as compared to the suffering of the poor Lebanese.

You need to learn that you must be respectful before you demand respect. You are crying about this and that and how much you paid. Lebanon is one of the poorest countries in the world and what is going on right now is terrible (my thoughts are with Lebanon and the people of Lebanon ❤️) be thankful that you actually can catch a flight to Lebanon with bombs going off everywhere. The crew is basically risking their lives to make a living so yes it’s going to cost a lot and the service will not be at its best under these conditions. Stop sounding like a spoiled brat and be thankful.

الحمدلله على سلامتكم. احسنت انتوني، هاذا شى مرفوض. البنك المركزي اللبناني يتملك شركة الطيران الشرق الأوسط. ربح الشركه عام ٢٠٢٤ حقق ٣.٨ مليارات دولار. حصل تلك الأرباح على أستغلال رفع أسعار بدون منافسة ضمن الضروف الامنيه الراهنه في لبنان وفرض الخدمات قليلة الكلفة على المسافرين. ادارة الشركة جشعه وسوف تدمر سمعة الشركة من ان تكون حكيمه في توفير خدمات جيده لرفع مستوى سمعته مع ارتفاع أسعار التذاكر. الطمع والجشع دمار كبير لتلك الشركات خاصة في مجال استغلال المستهلك. الرب يحمي لبنان من الدمار الداخلي والخارجي. ❤️🇱🇧

Such a spoled brat anthonyyy! I am so disappointed in you, bombs are going off everywhere, people are losing their homes by the mass and you? Complaining about not getting gourmet food and alcohol on board of the only airplane company that actually brings you back home? And that after coming back from visiting 30 restaurant in a week? Soooooooo disappointed ya anthony! You can do much better.

كلكم في لبنان تمكم كبر اقصد كل ما أشوف وآحد لبناني يتذوق الآكل بيفتح تمه وباخد اكبر لقمة مث نص سندويشة الفلافل الو الشورما أو منقوشه ولكم يا عمي انت جوعان شي او مفجوع الي بيتذوق الاكل بياخد لقمة صفيره ويمضغها وخليها شوية في فمه حتي يتذوق كل ما فيها وبعدين يعطينا رأيه هم بس جوعانين وبدهم يلتهموا الآكل وبس
