Grand parents were from Hadchit, Maskenny Ablan and Raymond Karam. Wonderful video showing how the "mountain people" are hard workers and smart. Thanks for sharing!

I have never seen wild grapes growing low on the ground between other plants. Its wonderful to own your own land, take care of it and harvest its fruits. Hadchit has its own Grape Harvest Festival and produces wines. Its a sad to see Lebanese farmers not being able to sell their apples due to economic losses, so they are not harvested. Thank you Anthony and Marc for encouraging Lebanese to keep their land and take care of it.

Dinah, apple growers have been exploited for a long time. They toil for little or no reward. Sadly it's not a recent problem.

Hi Anthony, May I suggest that the local name of Hadchit-white grape "Halboony" is Aramaic. Halba is an Aramaic adjective means white and the suffix "ony" added here to form diminutive meaning indicating to smallness. I'm kind of sure locals there calling it "Halbaouni" which is the right spelling of the word means little white or whity. Btw an amazing lovely dialect the Hadchitean🧡 Original Syriac name of Halab the Syrian city is Halba means The White, there the city is famous for its white marble called Marmar Great work👌.. please keep going 🙏✌️

Reminds me of the times we harvested our grapes in our nearby village. Our harvest was used by my father to make the drink of Champions, 3arak. There were a couple of words near the end that I did not understand. One's first syllable was "Shar..." and the other "Ay...". Can someone help me?😅😅
