Forget just kpop, I honestly know only a handful of vocalists(mostly female) that can match Taka’s range, timbre, flexibility & especially his ability to emote. If I factor in his command of the stage, energy to run circles around stadiums, his fluency with 2 languages, lyrical ability and his vocal fries as a Rock vocalist, he pretty much wipes clean those handful of vocalists as well. Heck even if I include opera singers, they fall far short in those regards. Especially as a Frontman for a Rock band, considering all his skillsets, Taka is handsdown the closest thing to perfection. As someone who’s been into Rock/Metal for 2 decades across multiple languages, I wouldn’t dare say that lightly.

there are Korean singers who are equally equipped, and have higher ranges, too. And I am saying this as a HUGE Taka fan. For example Kang Hyungho of Forestella has an incredible tenor to countertenor range with much higher clean falsetto than Taka and can similarly emote well. Taka is an incredible artist and incredibly well trained and gifted singer - but he is not the only one on this incredibly big planet with 8 billion people on it. :) Let's not degrade other artists to lift up one. I am sure Taka wouldn't be happy to hear that either.

@@Xia-hu "there are Korean singers who are equally equipped... but he is not the only one.." Why so defensive? and you're putting words into my mouth. Never said there aren't any. Taka just happens to be the best overall (Pop+Rock skills) vocalist among everyone I know. "Let's not degrade other artists to lift up one" I'll admit my comment might come off as that to some. So, I apologise since it seems to have rubbed you the wrong way. That said, my intention was simply stating what I genuinely felt was true, atleast for me. Seriously, name someone who has his level of crowd control, bilingual fluency and slays both pop and rock/metal vocals just as good. It would be my utmost pleasure and privilege to know an artist like that. Plus you get to prove me wrong :)
agree❤Ed and Taka are very close friends! "Renagades" of ONE OK ROCK was co-composed with Ed.

Well, having different opinion about singers is okay, it's subjective. I love OOR because i love Taka's unique texture voice, TTTR high quality musicianship, their strong stage presence, and their dedication to connect people through their songs. Btw, this song is produced by Mike Shinoda Linkin Park🤘🏻
@blindlight98879 ай бұрын
Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park helped with the production of One Way Ticket. Also this is a special version of OWT specifically for their 2017 Japan Tour. The normal version is faster and doesn’t have the “I’m coming home” part.

One of the reasons why I fell in love with this band is because of Taka's voice. 6 years ago I saw a video of one of their live performances and instantly I fell in love. They are so good live, which always gets me. And Taka knows how to control his voice very well. And he never disappoint me every single time. I got the privilege to watch them live last year, it was the best concert I've ever been to. And I am also right, they didn't disappoint me, Taka's voice didn't disappoint me. They always make sure to all their best on their live performances. Like Taka always say, they want what's best for the fans no matter what. Thank you so much for giving us so much One OK Rock contents. As a fan, I am so proud of these boys.

This song is also great. I love it.❤ The reason I became a fan of ONE OK ROCK is because there is something ``something'' about their singing voice and performance. It's not just that they sing well, play well, have good lyrics, or have catchy phrases, but there are things that can't be summed up in the word "emotional." I fell in love with them even more after learning about their personalities and their willingness to take on challenges. I'm really looking forward to their future activities. Of course, I'm looking forward to your next video!!

Those people don't realize most idols Idolize Taka... Maybe Lee Honggi from FTISLAND and Yoo Hwe-seung from N.flying they are IMO the best vocals in KPOP and both being in a the rock/pop rock genre BUT still don't think they could match the emotions Taka puts into his performances

the difference with taka is not only his skills but his crowd control , his delivery and his humanity too , and not top of them all HE is writing his own songs too he have all the packet , not only 1 or 2 of them while most singers have some really great things but are like only 2-3 they aren't the whole packet thas why TAKA owns it , ofc there gonna be some other people on his level , i mean the world has billions of people , but definitely Taka is on the top category and almost nobody surpasses him , its really hard to surpass him , as Artist overall

For sure I love some Korean artists, just 7 of them , hahahah. But Taka´s voice is just soooo amazing and yes it is not only a gift. He (and all OOR) have worked a lot to get where they are. Besides some Korean artists being amazing for me, this is great, amazing rock. Nothing to compare here. We cannot compare apples and pears. They are both so good.

I think people have various values. In my personal opinion, OOR's music cannot be felt only with the ears. It penetrates deep into our bodies, and although it may be an exaggeration, it becomes an indicator of how we should live from tomorrow. Everyone feels good praising someone, but I think it's embarrassing to express something that looks down on someone, and if you're a fan, you might end up lowering the artist's value.😢

Taka said himself that he’s “losing” against Takuya, lead singer of UVERworld, during a live.
@Nakaberil9 ай бұрын
I don't know why taka said that. I love takuya's voice, but I feel there's nothing outstanding from his singing voice compared to any anime song that has similar singing style / tone / technique / or something just like him.. for taka, objectively, I never heard someone has similar voice like him, even his singing style closest only to chester from Linkin Park, but it's totally different voice tone, technique, etc
@sokonadiarra98949 ай бұрын
