It looked like he'd protected her from becoming a vampire, by getting on the wagon, but when she left him he fell off, she caught him, and killed herself. He then turned her, but that just made it all worse...

I think she didn't make it and he couldn't save her. And the white dress version of her is her ghost, looking at the events that lead to her death. She kept him from being a psycho vampire but she got tired of covering for him and his coldness so she left. He went crazy, she came back cause she loved him anyways but found him with all the dead bodies. She killed herself and he comes back to try and save her but it's too late. So he surrenders himself cause he can't live without her and when he dies her ghost goes with him.

"Ronnie's voice is Angelic"...exactly, with this edge of "tortured" that seeps through. The dude wasn't happy with just relying on his words to express his thoughts with music as a backdrop. Over the last 10 years he has poured his entire being into mastering the lost vocal art of using his voice to put his heart behind the thoughts he's expressing and letting his soul bleed through his musical compositions...allowing his creativity open up and connect to the listener on a deeper level...so we can feel what he's feeling (which is almost always something the listener can completely relate to and feel not only like they are not alone, but feel like their experience has validation)...not to mention he gets to tell us a damn good story as a bonus. I mean, you've heard the originals...the words/thoughts are the exact same...but with these past two revisions he has put out , it isn't just another fix for our auditory cravings, it's a goddamn communion. That's exactly what music is supposed to be---a communion...and Ronnie's delivering.

I’m glad that you called out that this is “art”. I agree 100%. I find it haunting and beautiful. My interpretation is similar to yours. At the end, I feel like he’s sacrificing himself for her (his irl girlfriend btw) and she looks out and sees and then decides that she can’t live in a world without him and sacrifices herself for him also. Poetic, haunting.....art. It’s more of an “experience “ rather than just listening to a song. Thank you for watching the original first. I love yr take on this. I too felt the Romeo, Juliet theme to this and just one other thing I felt w/it was when he sang "You dont believe me? Shall I write it in blood?" What he actually did was he gave his life up for HER!? He showed HIMSELF to the "tormentors" (watever u wanna call them ...for lack of a better word at the moment) so they wudnt find HER and kill her as well!? But of course he had no idea that she wudnt live without him! It made me really cry! Kinda hard too lol. I will unapologetically admit. What a fucking genius!!
