The famous actor from the video is a big fan of Rock Music so he agreed to collaborate with Sabaton for the Video of this song. Also, all the costumes used in the video where the ones used in the movie Schindler's List. If you want to learn more about the story and also about the video, you should watch or react to the Sabaton History version. The first History Version of the Uprising talks about the Warsaw Uprising. The second one talks about anti German resistance throughout the war in other countries and also about the filming and problems encountered by the band for this music video.

This one seems to be Sabaton filming and with Peter Stormare and more in line with Sabatons videos. The song is about uprising in Warsaw in 1944 // II WW. The writing you paused stated "100 Polish people for 1 Nazi" meaning that 100 Poles will die if 1 Nazi will be killed. The entire clip is about the uprising that was held between 1st and 3rd August 1944. The "P" sign belongs to Home Army (Armia Krajowa or AK in Poland). The gun you see on a clip is probably one of hand maded guns. In uprising there were a lot of this kind of guns :) And "Warszawo, walcz!" is polish. The lead singer sings this part in polish. In uprising the like 80-90% of Warsaw was destroyed. I'm from Poland and an Archivist so I know really well the history of Poland.

Great reaction!🤘 One of the reasons Sabaton keep on making music about military history events, is just so we don't forget! Some people argued against them in their earlier days and said that they shouldn't. But lead singer, Joakim Broden, said "that's exactly what we have to do! Keep on telling these stories!" (Not accurate quote, but he said something similar in a documentary in Swedish television). And I agree! I love what they're doing and there is a reason why these guys get more and more fans... There's 3 Sabaton videos that to this day I can't watch all the way through with dry eyes. En Livstid i Krig (A Lifetime of War) sung in their native Swedish live from The Great Tour played in Gothenburg, No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video) and Night Witches (Animated Story Video). Hope you'll check them out at some point, the story videos are great because they give you the specific history of the people the songs are about, and thhose stories are amazing.

Nice one Ray. But do yourself a favour: Go and watch the Sabaton official live version of this song in Poland infront of 550,000+ people. And as you seem to be a history buff (like me) they have a sisterchannel called "Sabaton history" where they go in to history of every song they have. Oh of course: Almost all Sabaton songs speaks of true events or persons, never taking sides. There are insane good live videos of this song and 40:1 (another song about Poland in WW2) filmed on a Polish massive festival. I think it's a 100k+ crowd and they go crazy, as you might assume. The quality of the video and audio is top notch.

'Kaput' written on a wall is very often used in Poland (it's obviously wrong spelling), it's Polonized German word "kaputt" which in that case means de@th.

The beginning of the music video is the commander changing the order from 10 civilians to die to 1 German killed per 100. Hitler Kaput - this was punishable by death. There was the same penalty for drawing an anchor symbol on a wall. Kotwica is a combination of the letters P and W (POLSKA WALCZĄCA) - fighting Poland. The music video uses authentic recordings from the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. The uprising was planned for 2 weeks and lasted 63 days. The uprising broke out because Russian troops were near Warsaw and their help was counted on. But it did not come because the Russian army stood on the border of the city and waited 1.5 months for the uprising to fall. The fighting in the city was brutal. The Germans did not spare anyone. In the first days, the Germans brought a unit of prisoners and degenerates to the city - SS-Sturmbrigade Dirlewanger. In 3 days they killed several thousand civilians. After the fall of the uprising, all captured and identified insurgents were sent to concentration camps and civilians were expelled from the city. Then the Germans began to systematically destroy the city. 85% of Warsaw was completely destroyed. Russian troops did not bother the Germans at that time. The Russians entered the ruins in January 1945.

The poster in the video said: "100 Polish for 1 German" which was a direct order during the German occupation. It didn't stop the insurgents, and their families, from fighting for freedom that Germany has taken from them.

At the beginning is stated that 100 Poles must be executed for every German that die. "Warszawo walcz!" means literally "Warsaw fight!" We commemorate every year the hour W the 5 PM of august the first when the uprising begun. All the city stops, there are sirens like for the beginning of a battle and everything stands still, even the public transport. In this video they have mixed some scenes from a movie but others are authentic from '44. There were two brothers involved in cinematography and have documented the 63 days of the uprising, the battles but also the everyday life of the people that were involved. The Museum of the Warsaw uprising restored their tapes and published a DVD with the whole documentary. It's heart breaking.

"SS und Polizeiführer" is a title meaning SS and Police leader which refers to a senior party member granted control of SS units in a certain area usually consists of: - Gestapo - "Ordnungspolizei" or Orpo (Regular police) - SiPo (Security Police) - SS-Totenkopfverbände or SS-TV (Camp Administration) - SD (Intelligence Sevice) - Certain Waffen-SS units They also only answered to the HSSPF who was simply a higher ranking Police leader that answered only to the Reichsführer-SS

The SS, abbreviated for "Schutzstaffel" started off as the NAZI party's official guard. Divided into a military police like branch, and an "elite" military branch many of the biggest operations of the war saw SS units alongside main line units. That's an over-generalization, so please feel free to correct me, but I hope this helps explain.

No your pretty much correct, the SS for all intensive purposes basically ran the governments various police and civilian intelligence services, they are also reasonable for the infamous einstatzgruppen. In the video they specifically refer to the position of "SS und Polizeiführer" which were just senior party members who administered the various SS units in a particular area in the case of the video that area is "Ost" which covers the entirety of the German installed Central Government

Possibly the worst part of the Warsaw uprising, was that it was so close to being successful. The Russian Red-army actually reached the outskirts of the city (as nominal allies of Poland for a change) but they didn't enter despite requests from the freedom fighters, they stopped on the edge of a city and let the Nazis finish crushing the revolt.

The Red Army was just a few miles away when the Warsaw Uprising began, and the Poles hoped that they would push forward to assist in taking Warsaw from the Nazis, but that never occurred. The Russians sat on their hands and allowed the Nazis to totally level the city and eradicate the Polish partisans. The Russians had no sympathy for the Polish people and they hoped that the Nazis would kill off as many possible troublemakers to their future occupation as possible. *Diabolical* doesn't fully explain what happened in Warsaw in 1944.

I know it's controversial, but... I still have photographs my 'uncle' and his commrads had to take when the had to go through Poland. Not only damaged houses and dead horses, but dead soldiers and pilots too. I wish I could give them to the families to get some clarity what happened, but it might just be to gruesome...😢
