c.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h was written by Taka for his friends, each representing a letter in the song title, and was released in 2011. In 2020 (the concert was in late 2020 as well) one of Taka's friends took his own life so the song was reconstructed to the version you listened to today. If you listen to an earlier live recording you will hear the "real" song which is a lot happier with lyrics about treasuring life and the memories the friends made together

C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h is a song dedicated to 9 friends Taka wishes to be friends with for forever. Each letter represents one of said friends. Unfortunately one of them passed away by suicide, Haruma Miura. Thus Taka dedicated this special performance to him.

The lyrics where TAKA sings while looking up at the sky are: ``Even as time passes and we grow old, irreplaceable treasures, precious memories that are not invisible, will be with us forever. Forever.'' TAKA is definitely crying

From a comment under the video: "each letter for the song's name was the initial of a close friend of his. Haruma Muira was the last H in Chaosmyth. Tragically took his own life in 2020. This performance was for him."

The original is a more upbeat song. But as everyone has commented, one of the friends I dedicated this song to has passed away. This version was the first he sang after his death. On the way, I saw TAKA looking up at the sky, which was very sad. Toru looks sad seeing TAKA like that.

I'm so sorry, I hope that you are covered with strength and grace, that comfort finds you and that you find a way to cope so that you remember all the good things and the love you share that is eternal, as you move through life. As you do she is always by your side, a very real part of you. My sister also died on Nov 30th, 2023 and I just missed getting to talk to her by minutes, I was driving 500 miles to get there in time but it did notwork out that way........I ill always feel her loss but I know I will be with her again when there will be no pain, no sickness, no death to tear us apart ever again. Until then, we soldier on and carry them in our hearts forever. Tell about her life by writing about her, tell of her inner beauty.

this song C.H.A.O.S.M.Y.T.H is represent Taka's best friends, and at that time (2020) one of his BF "Haruma Miura" which is the H in the title of the song, died cos of suicide and this performance is a tribute for him that's why taka & the arrangements is too emotional (cos the song itself is a rock high paced)

There's a third version that starts with Taka playing an acoustic guitar in the middle of the crowd and the band comes in halfway through. It was done during the 2016 special live at Nagisean. It's possibly their best concert, and easily the best crowd. Sadly the concert isn't well known because there's only one official video from the concert, Taking Off, and every other one is watermarked. It was a 2 day outdoor fest with 110k people.

This is probably my favorite song by them. And that's saying a lot considering how much i love this band. Seen them live twice in Canada. The shows were much smaller than in Japan, but they still rocked out the same.

There is a documentary of this Covid concert that is great, Open air venue and monsoon blows in before the concert. They practice during the massive rain. The day of the live telecast, the sky clears up with blue skies...
