The rest of the songs on the Tap album are varied in style. Hope you check them out! Lots of good songs. Shalala has similar vibes to Tap but less catchy and more divisive. It’s the b-sides on both these albums that are gems in my opinion.

Thank you so much for checking out Taeyong! Taeyong is the leader, main rapper, main dancer, sub vocalist, center, visual, and face of the group for NCT. In other words, he's that guy. He also produces and choreographs and is a total fashionista. On top of that, he is a true artist and person of great kindness and character. YES YES YES! Please check out Shalala too. Something you should know about Taeyong is that he writes and composes ALL of his solo work, which is actually kind of rare in Kpop. He has so many great songs and experiments with a variety of genres, not just hiphop. I would love for you to check out the rest of the album. There is a TAP highlight medley that gives you a sample of the b-sides if you want to check that out, but I hope you'll listen to the whole songs too. Thanks!

Taeyong's title track always have this pretty boy swaggy cutiness & he always seems not serious about himself in title tracks, unlike his album side track, it's more emotional. Love your review!!

this song is commenting on the 'haters' - even though some people 'hate' him or even don't know who he is, they still spend time and effort to 'tap' (on a smartphone/tablet) with hate comments etc also, the MV is a parody of Japanese TV shows where the Japanese parents tells their kid(s) to go on errands for them - in the MV, Taeyong is on his first errand to buy dango (Japanese sticky rice dumpling balls served on a skewer with a sweet sauce) and trying different places coz they were sold out, got distracted at the arcade place, but eventually got back on track to go buy dango

So, for his edgier rap style, now try "APE" from the same mini album (TAP). WuTang references and all. Shalala is fire, too, as people have said. Missy Elliott vibe--quirky funky. TY is very unique and courageous--loves to break the boundaries.

Definitely would like to see your reaction to his song Shalala, that's another amazing single that he made and it has a very unique rapping style that he has developed and mastered over the years.

If you wanna hear him flexing more of his rap in the context of this mini album, you should check out "Ape", which is a more rap focused song in this album. Another interesting fact is that he composes the music and writes his own lyrics for every song of his mini albums. He is definitely one of the most unique rappers in the industry, you'll never mistaken his voice and his rap with anyone else.

I just love how Anthoney at the end needed to put it out there again by saying "he is a pretty boy". This song is very TAEYONG like showing his personality very well. Him neing silly but still being the most NEO member of NCT. He always vibes to the songs since the first listen that are considered "weird". SHALALA is official solo debut song as well showcases his NEO side very well. The whole album is amazing. The only rap heavy song other than TAP is APE. For the other songs they are pretty like Moon Tour, Ups and Downs is as well rather pretty but he does talk about struggles. Actually hisnsong on the first album RUBY is about is dog whivh passed away. There even is a song that he myde a while back BLUE. Talking about the times he struggled due to rumours since pre debut. Plus he himself had alot of back problems :/ He even had an operation. So that was why I personally was surprised when he did bend but he still does choreos like Cherry Bomb so I shouldn't be surprised. As a TYONGF I recommend all his songs he has on Soundcloud, on his YT channel and his actual OFFICIAL albums. He is one of the MAIN Rappers in NCT with Mark. They are our 2 overall MAIN rappers in NCT.
