This figure is awesome it represents 2B in the anime really well. I have played and finished NieR: Automata and I can't recommend this game enough. I played it on the Switch and it is a beautiful port.

one of my favourite sh figuarts figures ever, helps that nier automata is in my top 3 video games ever. but it poses incredibly and looks spot on, with more than enough accessories. im glad they included a stand tho because unfortunately her heels just make her impossible to stand without it, but besides that i love this figure.

2nd sword is not really mandatory. In the game there are tons of weapons but I can see a need for a 2nd weapon since in the game she had a loadout of 2 weapons. In the anime she had the big sword in one of the last episodes of first part of season

I love this figure. I wish the skirt was removable like the game and I wish it could be more stable with the heels but I love the figure in general. I recently got 9S to display with her and they are both amazing. Now the question is...where is my A2?

I'd be interested in seeing a review of the 2.0 Bring Arts 2B The elbows and knees on that figure actually much better but there's no real butterfly joint and the torso articulation is limited That being said the 2.0 Bring arts is game accurate and comes with the extra swords, gauntlets and attachments for the stand that lets you replicate the weapons floating behind her

This one is based on the anime, so her loadout is just a sword and pot. That said, I have this figure and I really like it, but I do feel the legs are and ankle articulation are just bad. 2B is fairly nimble and has some signature crouching poses that this figure just cannot do. However, the figure still has an impressive display presense. I cannot recommend it unless you are a fan of the character, which I am. Game and Anime are great.

The fact that this is a character owned by SquareEnix and it’s not a BringArts figure is perhaps the best thing about it. I’m not a fan of the game and I don’t think it’s PlatinumGames’ strongest effort but I respect the heck out of it. Anime or not, 2B is a cool design and she can fit on a SoulCalibur shelf since she was a “guest” fighter.

This. It's a bit of column A and column B. Yeah, a lot of these figures retail in Japan for way, way less than we pay for them. But as a consumer, it doesn't practically change much, sadly. It's a technicality for us. But yes, also BBTS marks stuff up quite a lot. Especially P-Bandai figures, which this isn't, but I digress.

An update for posterity, since I got her myself on release: I got her on AmiAmi for 8,620 JPY, which is now 51,95 Euros and 56,19 United States Dollar. One dollar was worth about 147,37 yen back then (late January 2024) and 153,48 yen now. That's not accounting the shipping and all that, of course. Just the price of the figure alone (I shipped her with 3 or 4 other figures anyway).

if the yen wasnt down compared to the dollar, the price wouldnt be any different. saying bbts ismarkign stuff up because the dollar is stronger than the yen is silly. also, if you factor in shipping, the price difference is negligible...or even negative when the economy is normal. bbts isnt changing the price... neither is japan... its how currency conversion works.

Head is too big and face too anime. In the game the characters look anime-ish, but way more realistic. This is just Bandai's usual "animefication" of their faces. It isn't as bad here, since the original design is pretty anime to begin with, but it's still the same thing as the SFV figures where the body is hyper muscular and the face is 2D. Trash 0/10. Give the license to Jada.

"the face too anime" It's based on the anime Square Enix doesn't allow any other companies to make merch of their IPs unless there's loopholes (anime designs can't be monopolized by Square because the animation studio partially owns them) like this or Kingdom Hearts (Disney partially owns it). That's why this, the buzzMOD and the upcoming Figma of 2b are all based on the Nier anime and not the game.
