You can thank Naohiro Shintani for his amazing character designs for this movie! I also think the reason for the confusing name was because of the distinction from non-canon and canon Broly. If the Full-powered Broly already has his name set, it makes sense that the transformation before it is simply "Super" Broly. As in "Dragonball Super" or "Super Saiyan Super"

Thanks for the review, Anthony! Just got mine today and it really is a great figure! Mine had the rubbing marks on the torso, too, but legs aren't popping off. I especially love the look of the angry black haired head and face. He looks pissed off in a major way, the paint application on the entire face including the eyes is awesome and I have enough "blonde" characters on the shelf already, anyway.

This is a good figure, most S.H. figuarts are and the Dragon Ball ones are some of the best. The skirt made out of an ear, I finally know what that is I thought it was a hairy jacked of some sort, articulates to help moving the legs into some poses. I'm not buying most of the Dragon Ball S.H. Figuarts because I got disappointed with Bandai about the Myth Cloth line, I already know how those long unending lines work. I had 98 Myth Cloth when Bandai started releasing new and improved versions of the already released figures for 3 times the price of the old ones, I had already spent thousands of dollars with that line and they wanted me to spend thousands more to get the same exact action figures I already had. What they did was disrespectful because they got the value of the older figures to drop and introduced new improved versions of the same figures, I can't even sell the old ones to buy the new ones because I will end up losing a lot of money and I had bought every single figure from that line until the new one came out. They didn't even let the old line end, they did it strait without separating the two lines, they did separate them but that was only because they call these new ones X and that is it. This new line started with 3 figures and the "Athena exclamation" then it developed into 6 figures and later to a new line with the same characters. They already did the same exact thing with this Dragon Ball figures so I don't buy them, they don't deserve my loyalty because they betrayed me and my collection in the first place, I now have a very expensive incomplete line of 98 premium figures I even have the 24K gold plated exclusive Pegasus they released. I still think Myth Cloth are the best action figures from my favorite anime but I can't bring myself to betray all that I believe in by buying these new figures. I'm going to stop commenting about this, it makes me sad and I have so much to say about it that I would use all characters KZbin allows me to use in a comment. Thank you for the review Anthony.

It's a pelt he wears around his waist, a skirt by design is an article of clothing that is designed for the sole purpose to be worn around the waist, whereas the pelt isn't assigned to any one area or or even has to be an article of clothing. People probably fussed about it because a skirt is traditionally worn by a woman. Personally I don't care what you call it I just wanted to try and clear it up.

I guess you can get away with calling it a skirt if you call those 90's fashion flannels people tie around their waists skirts. This doesn't function as a skirt because it doesn't cover his junk, skirts cover the whole waist, this only covers his backside. I wouldn't call it an ear, but I wouldn't call it a skirt either. It's just a waist wrap.

Yes and no. Broly was constantly growing with each smaller power-up even before he reached his "full power" state. This is a Wrath Broly first and foremost, so they put it somewhere in the middle of his.. ahem.. growth spurt, which gives the most variation between it and the full power version.
