That posing is not representative of Guts in the Berserker form at all. If you look in the manga, he is more brutal and savage while in that form.

Good smile announced a repainted version of this figure, with blood all over dragonslayer and the berserker armor. Looks really, really good. They showed a re-release of Griffith as well. I missed out on this one and have been contemplating dropping the 200+ to get it because I absolutely love berserk, so that was great news to me. Hopefully we get an announcement for a release date sometime soon!

As a blacksmith hobbyist I hope to eventually forge a fully functional set of berserker armor. It's surprisingly simple for Anime armor except in the torso and armpits. Wish I could get this figure for a scale model to pull dimensions and shapes for the lames. Doesn't help I'm 10in shorter than Guts that 6'6" freaking tank. Don't even dream that sword is possible without a dedicated smelting factory.

To be fair the heigh so he's between 6'2 and 6'8 (the armor makes him taller ofc) so you have some more leeway for the dimensions.

Someone should take this figure, stick the on arms and head of the "Black Swordsman" Guts figure (and also add a streak of white to Guts' hair), and add belts and knives with Sculpey. And add a custom cloth cape, I guess, if you want.

I have him, he's a treasure in my collection (Guts is my favourite manga character of all time). The problem with this figure is his cape - it's too heavy and it's connected only with a small peg which I broke so I had to make a custom cloth cape.

i got a used or already opened one from a Japanese shot called jungle. 80$ no issues other than the box had dented corners. Have you read the manga? i tried to learn the first volume in Japanese...i dont have that kinda time or patience so found them all in English....a bit more brutal than the anime.

How well does he hold the sword up with 1 hand? Also, how would you compare it's holding of the sword to the Band of the Hawk version? I couldn't get my band of the hawk Guts to hold his sword pointing forward for example with 1 hand. Is this possible on this version?

Schierke happens to be a main character in berserk. calling things by its name will make you sound more knowledgeable and convincing.
