McFarlane already addressed the weapons issue in a interview. He said DC would not license the characters to be produced with guns apparently... he also stated that at some point they would release a weapons pack that will have some of the missing guns for characters included

Find it INCREDIBLY stupid. Disney lets it do with Marvel Legends yet WB/DC that targets an adult audience, particularly with McFarlane DC Multiverse since Spinmaster handles the kids´ figures don´t. Makes no sense.

I just dry brushed the weapons in the weapons pack and his jacket. He's a cool character. He somehow made his way to DC.

I don't know why, But Grifter is a badass with guns and any Marvel or DC character with using guns like Punisher, Deadpool, Cable, Bishop, Red Hood, Deathstroke, Deadshot, Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold, etc. are still badass using them too, Awesome review Antony.

So remember Flashpoint? Well, the actual purpose of Flashpoint was to take the Vertigo and Wildstorm imprints and infuse them into the main DC Universe, hence the New52. It's the same trick DC did in '85 to integrate the Charlton characters in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Originally Jim Lee’s Grifter was character for Image/Wildstorm, right after Jim Lee and Macfarlane and others left Marvel to create their own publishing house, years later Jim Lee left Image and took his Wildstorm imprint characters to DC where he’s like second guy.

I loved the WildC.A.T.S when I was reading comics in the 90s. I know Wildstorm is no longer part of Image Comics but I still think of the Wildstorm characters as indie. This guys is going next to my Spawn figures. I hope they do the rest of the C.A.T.S. I’d love a Warblade, Zealot, and Spartan.

I just ordered this figure. I loved Grifter when I was a kid. I still have the 90s Playmates figure. I get the aesthetic choices in giving him the short jacket and gloves. The original design was indeed a product of its time. Trench coat with rolled up sleeves and long swashbuckling gloves is a bit much (but I loved it as a kid!!) I’d LOVE it if McFarlane made a Backlash figure, he’d be sweet to get. That is unlikely, but I’d like it. I’ll be adding some paint touches to him to jazz him up. Even painting the zipper and doing a wash on his coat will make him pop. I’ll get him some guns, and he’ll be set! Thanks for the review!

He's one of the better figures as of late. I did a wash on the jacket and dry brushed the Mcfarlane weapons pack. I'm cool with these obscure figures. Hopefully we get more of them.

Grifter was a part of wildstorm which is owned by dc now he's being more included. Also I don't think infinite frontier is a game just a comic

his gun is in that Arsenal Pack but it's just the same pistol that came with that Color Tops Spawn but with no paint apps. Todd just had to cheap out again.

Infinite Frontier is new storyline. DC decided to acknowlede EVERY story ever told. So, instead of Multiverse (with usually 52 Universes) now everything is valid and doesn´t have to (necessarily) fit a continuity. There is of course but at the same time is open to everything prior and whatever can happen. That´s the reason why there are so many mini-series that are unique like the Jurassic League, DCseased, DC vs Vampires...

It’s weird that in the promotional art he’s got black gloves, yet the figure has bright ass red gloves. I bought this guy, as I love me some Grifter past and present. The one I got from Amazon has a wobbly head, and splotches of black on his gloves, or the red paint chipped. Can’t even bring myself to open it. He looks cool nonetheless.

Plz don’t regress mcfarlane toys to the hideous ball joints they had for the ankle and wrist. The sculpted joints are sooo much better and worth it in my opinion. Besides that another great and honest review

They aren't better though. Being sculpted means when you rotate them they're too skinny. They also suck up budget

@@AnthonysCustoms fair enough but the alternative imo is worse. The ridiculous oversized ball joints were atrocious. Especially on female figures. Idk what would be better than this solution. But i hated the ugly balls joints protruding from the ankles and wrists. Thanks for the reply

I have no idea who grifter is honestly, but I saw him in the Flashpoint movie and liked him there and that's enough for me to want him to go with Thomas Wayne batman 🤣 this figure is incredible but I agree with it lacking paint, mcfarlane as a whole needs to improve with paint, otherwise this is very solid though. Great review man

His gloves are black in the card which I think looks better, but I am not familiar with this character at all. Cool looking design and would be a tempting impulse buy.

Hey man I think it would be cool if you did a custom tutorial for applying washes. To make figures look better. Like I know for the most part when to use a black wash. But then there's blue, green, red and I'm not sure if a black wash would look good or if I need to use the same color as the plastic I'm painting.

Yeah I see the green and this is a small running glitch with them. My John Constantine page puncher has obvious GREEN hair. O.K. gives him a punk rock look...not a deal breaker...but green??? Some was hung over when they mixed the paint for that bunch of figures. Musta been a Monday.

im pretty sure if you ask a ml fan which line is better they would say ml... and a mcf fan would say mcf. seems reasonable enough to assume theyre doing about the same based on the collector reactions and the figures sitting on shelves at the stores.
