I grew up listening to opera and have always enjoyed it thru all phases of my life and that was way before BGT was even thought of.. overall, I can agree some people at least now know what it sounds like and can identify it better but to say people’s general knowledge of opera was non-existent before BGT just is wrong. Maybe those in their 20’s and younger..

They were incistant that Ceiri go on as s single performer and would not let them perform as a band. Then you can clearly hear Simon say oh, he is in a band but performing on his own so he is the star. As if it was his idea to go on alone when they made him. And didn't they have to eat humblepie when he was so good and so popular. Not surprised he walked out after that performance. Oh and after he did so well on the audition THEN they wanted them to go on as a band. He left because he didn't trust them not to get back at him and Nicotine Dolls on the show since Simon was so snide about him singing solo, and who could blame him.
