I also assign the re.match() result to a variable called match, and I haven’t yet used the match function. I hadn’t even thought about the potential clash. Very clever of the Python devs to implement soft keywords as a way to handle the potential clash by looking at the context

I have an idea that we could try to list all instances where python breaks its API to get it's actual real semantic version.

This is a nice example, because REG.match would have also been broken if match would have become a regular keyword.
