Hi sir, There is a confusion in Aloe Emodin and Rhein structures at (1:50) & (10:56) Can you please explain it?

Ya, Rhein is having carboxylic acid chain while Aloe-emodin has methanol side chain. So whatever described at 10:56 is correct. Earlier part was edited. Thanks for notifying this. Thanks for your interest.

Sir, Sennidin A there should be 10R,10R ,bcoz its 10th position of anthracene

Sennidin A is made up of rhein which is having carboxylic acid. Therefore direction of numbering will be changed so it become 9th carbon. That's why it will have 9R,9'R configuration. Hope it is clear now. Thanks for your interest and watching video.

Yes, since two anthrones are connected oppositely in sennidin A they are called trans but in sennidin B they are connected in similar way producing mirror image so they are considered as cis.
