This was the aggressive era of thrax anger attitude passion of metal ... I saw this lineup at HOB Chicago sometime in 98 and blew my mind. This album, volume 8 was so underrated.

Sounds like an alternative band to me and not so much the thrash I grew up on. But those were the 90’s, when things changed. Grew to appreciate the Bush era overtime but give me Belladonna any day.

IMHO this was the greatest lineup Anthrax ever had. Saw them twice in 1998 and they killed. One of the shows that year was with Pantera and Coal Chamber. Their guitars never sounded so Heavy, thick, full and so on the superlatives go. John Bush really helped out the band over the top. Also inhave to say Paul Crook is easily the best guitarist in the band. Super fluent with excellent technique yet kept the aggression at the same time
