They are for the collection I am calling Rustic Ranch which is very popular here in Central TX. It is actually a fav of mine too and having so much fun designing and making pieces in that style. Do you think if I made a video on that style it would be of interest?

I understand you are trying to recreate something however, I really like the copper vases but think they could use some verdigris, Im also thinking using them upside down with a solar light... the chalk paint on plastic is a FANTASTIC tip! I make space ships and other sculptures from plastic trash and painting them can be a real challenge at times.. add a DT string of battery fairy lights or 2 to the last project for an interesting mood/night light

Hi Doc! Yes! Verdigris would be awesome! I have been switching over to doing local shows and shops (since KZbin doesn't seem to like me anymore🫤) and I use a similar distressed copper technique with turquoise in what I'm calling my "Rustic Ranch" collection. They are some of my favorite pieces! But I love the idea of verdigris as well which will give a similar complimentary contrast but would also be more in line with the texture of the distressed copper. Love it! Love the idea of inverting as a solar light with the verdigris even better! Yes the chalk paint along with a sanded surface has some staying power!! And so pretty to add the fairy lights! Gorg! 🙂❤️

So glad you liked the Anthropologie Dupes especially the coppery candle holders! 🙂❤️ Since KZbin has been so awful to me "throttling" my channel, (as they themselves admitted) and not paying me the agreed AD revenue split when they do put my videos in reccomendation and let them see the light of day, I have been doing alot of physical markets and shops. The area I moved to is prime for that sort of thing. Anyhoo, I use a technique similar to what I used for the candle holders for the pieces in my "Rustic Ranch" that I'm doing for the shops/shows in my area since that style is very popular here in Central TX. I absulutely love the look but wanted to know your opinion if you think it would have wider appeal?

@@FABEDhacks I’m honored that you asked although dismayed to hear you are being cheated (calling a spade a spade) by YT. I most certainly believe it would have a wider appeal! Although trends do come and go “rustic” is one that has truly stood the test of time the most in my opinion. While it’s certainly not for everyone those who truly love it, LOVE IT and tend to stick with it. And it’s not just regional either. I personally love “rustic” so I suppose that’s why that one was my favorite and as a “regional reference” I live in Upstate SC. Hope that helps and I hope you do ah-ma-zing @ your shops/shows! Of course I also hope YT gets their act together so we don’t lose incredible content like yours!!
