I just made this dupe today! I watched your previous video and came across this one just now. I definitely impressed my family! I painted mine a lavender color, it is just so gorgeous! Like I said my family was amazed and they couldn’t stop complimenting it! Thank you so much for all of your help!

So pretty, the flowers had so much detail. The white wash was a great color choice. Great job Christina.

I never hear anyone talk about wood tannins when doing a wash, is that because there is no bleed through when doing a paint wash?
@moniquebrown18 Жыл бұрын
No…you will get bleed through with a paint wash too. It really depends on the wood. Some wood is worse than others.

I just started a similar project. One mold I used wood filler and liked the results. Next I will try joint compound in molds to see how that works I can fall back to resin if needed but the other fillers are so inexpensive I can use as many molds on my dresser as I want. Yours is beautiful very inspiring

That’s 🤩 beautiful, thank you!You have inspired me again to whitewash a parquet wood floor that I must go through all the sandpaper grit stages and refill all the joints with wood filler and sand as well. I was told by the bidding refinishers that it will not look good. Half the unit is dark, where I removed wall to wall rugs. The other half of the unit they had sanded and glossed, but it’s the outdated honey color. I like the classic dark color, and even the light golden, but I need to come home to a lighter color. Please give me your heartfelt opinion, if I am making a huge mistake to this classic union of wood. Also if you have a video or someone else who has done this. I can only find two videos of parquet sanding from eight years ago. There must be a magic product to make it look classic as well. Or even technique that will allow me to come home to a light environment. Respectfully, Vivian 😊

This turned out amazing! I have been watching your fantastic work for awhile now. And you have inspired me to do some diys. I painted my stair banister black. Which wax would you recommend for durability and to seal the paint, the Jolie wax or real milk wax? Thank you again for all the inspiration 🥰
@ChristinaMuscari Жыл бұрын
I would use a different top coat for a stair banister. That will be a high traffic and highly touched area and you'll eventually have to reapply wax.

I actually want to do something similar to my dresser only can the bendable wood ne used instead of those little nobs ?
@shannonrankin3346 Жыл бұрын
My suggestion is not to use Q-tips which can leave cotton strands behind but a stick that has a sharp edge you can buy them cheaply at Michael’s or hair supply stores (like Sally’s)also and a damp paper towel to wipe the excess glue onto from the stick and then you’ll be using the same stick ….so it has a very pointy and usually diagonal and is a little more precise and clean
@bonnysmith4908 Жыл бұрын
Do you think it would have been easier to paint the moulds before you put them on??
