I love your care videos, they are so informative!! I particularly liked the in-depth toxicity info. A person hears that yes a plant is toxic but you never hear about how toxic and in what way. Thank you for sharing that.

Great video Zahir. So informative. This anthurium is at the top of my wishlist. Will probably be a while for me to get my hands on one. I've seen these grown in wood orchid basket and sphagnum moss. Do find that to be any better or worse than growing them in a pot of loose mix? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and info.

Hi there, Sorry for the late reply. Definitely a lovely plant to be able to add to your collection and a bit different and a quirky change to the norm. My aroid mix seems to work well for it and has definitely shown its happiness by putting out some new growth. As for which medium is better I would definitely lean towards a more oxygenated potting mix so the chunkier the better. I will actually be converting a lot if not all of my collection to semi hydroponics in the near future and cant wait to give it a go. Thanks for insightful video. Would you have advice about my Anthurium vittarifolium whose leaves at the top have shrivelled and dried (they are still green but the whole plant seems to have become a muted green especially the top). I am afraid the top leaves were dangling too close to the heater. I just bottom watered it. Will the shrivelled parts of leaves perk back up in time and become more leathery texture again? Or what would you advise in this situation? I have moved it away from heater among other plants under a grow light (about 30 inches under) with humidifier nearby.

I think you meant to say genus....species is just the specific type of anthurium
