I'm diamond 2 kinda flip flop between diamond 2 and 3. Think I might be plateauing in street fighter. I know for sure my practice is non existent which doesn't help. Still believe I can hit masters this year though.

This character having so few cracks in his gameplan is what makes him so outrageously powerful. You need to catch them sleeping at the wheel.

I can't stand Guile turtles. They just spam sonic booms and then flash kick you when you jump in.

Im dealing with those by using ex/od sand blast. After a short time its so easy to guess when will they use a sonic boom

very good video. it is unfortunate that a lot of the counter to these is preemptive, especially if the guile player is also thinking of your preemptive thoughts. i wish there was one really consistent weakness in his gameplan, but nope. Definitely top 5 material.

@@ApparentlyJade I feel ya. Guile is a very hard character to fight. I think Capcom needs to nerf him a little because currently he has very little counter play to him

as a guile player, I tell you, most of my losses are because the opponent is much more patient than me, like they wait for me to get bored on my own spam booms lol... so that's probably the secret,

You can try to contest it with EX Fireballs or just block it out

@@lollolz909 I think the ultimate strat is to out patient him. Make them try to put pressure on with their normals. Then you can take advantage of that and start whiff punishing them. I agree though. Guile sucks to fight against. He is beatable though

If I may ask, when you say that playing "pre-emptive" is a bad trade deal, what makes it so bad?

He basically means you're basically just guessing while guile actually has a game plan. It's bad because once you're locked in on that attack you can't unlock it. Meaning that you're open to be a prime target for counter attacks. The only time it works is if the guile player is caught lacking. But I digress. You shouldn't play like this if you have tons of money on the line, like a tournament. I only see it being okay if you're just playing for fun but not if a lot of money is on the line.
