For another fairy tale tarot deck that's upcoming, there's Yoshi Yoshitani's fairy tale deck that has absolutely GORGEOUS artwork and is based on tales from around the world (I know you mentioned that you don't like not immediately recognizing the tales, but for myself I really like learning about new fairy tales and appreciate the diversity). All of the art is completed, and the deck is due to come out in early 2020.

My cosmic tarot arrived back in July 2020 .. I end up backing it and because I was not practicing at that time .. it took me awhile to look at it but it is a tarot deck I am so glad I own .. it reads wonderfully and my daughter loves it a lot because it is easy to read intuitively too :) ..

Hi Lisa - you might be interested to know that right now (March 2021) on the Lisa Hunt Facebook page there has been real discussion about relaunching The Fairy Tale Tarot on Kickstarter as an indie/artist edition (which will hopefully be printed on better quality cardstock than the OOP mass market version). I have been following this closely and I'm very keen to back it once it launches on Kickstarter. I also have the Fairy Tale Lenormand, and they really would make the perfect pair!!!!

Totally feel your pain on the Oracle of Mystical Moments...I have the same struggle with it....but I can’t WAIT for the artist’s tarot because I adore her art style. Every time she posts a new tarot image on her insta I’m like 😍😍😍. I actually JUST finished editing my own anti-haul that I filmed a few weeks ago and the Field Tarot was totally on my list of decks I regretted! It just felt flat to me. Work Your Light + Moonchild is a lovely combination, I like working with them together, too. I'm experimenting for the first time with oracle decks and that one is my favorite pretty much for that reason of not needing to go back to the guidebook to use it. My own current "I wish I hadn't bought this" is the Literary Witches Oracle because I keep trying but I feel like I have no idea how to use it. Longterm regret, probably the Archeon Tarot. Which I feel weird about because it's the first deck I bought for myself like a decade ago, but as I've gotten older I fell hard out of love with the art and gave it away. True Black scratches that "the deck I read in the dark of night" itch now.

Love these videos! I'm getting more conscious and thoughtful now about the decks I want to purchase. There are sooooooo many beautiful decks out there it's so hard to choose which ones to buy because I just want them all lol. Still waiting for a rich husband to buy me all the decks lol. I've been rehoming a fair amount of my decks because I just don't feel connected to them any more, such as the Light Seers Tarot (people are going to hate me for that since it's so popular). But I'm still trying to find that soul deck. No luck yet. I agree with you about the Mystical Moments Oracle. I have the tarot deck but the oracle seems lacking in some way (not exactly sure how to phrase it). And Btw your nails match the backs of that oracle lol. I regret buying Collette Baron-Reid: Wisdom of the Oracle. It was one of my first oracle decks that I bought 3 years ago. It doesn't want to work with me. It refuses to give me a reading that makes sense. So now I've removed it from my collection and is going to sell and pass it on. Also i regret buying Sofan Chan: Buddhism Reading Cards. The artwoork is not for me and I'm also going to sell that and pass it on. Thanks for a great video-series :-)

I love this series of anti-haul… just to realise that sometimes I already have a deck that does the same as one that I want ! I got "The self love oracle" from Janet Chui from her web site and it came like very very fast !!! The booklet is a little bit different there is no staple it is like a little mini-book (paperback) very well done… and very well love especially this September month ! Wow we have really similar taste! I read the description first before watching and was shocked to see everyday witch tarot, light seers tarot and the heal yourself reading cards on the list because I adore those decks! But good to see they're decks you'd reach for as well. I also agree I won't be getting the starseed oracle because I don't relate with that stuff, same with why I'm not buying the starchild or moonchild tarot despite them being so pretty, I just can't get much information from the cards.. some decks I regret buying.. the shapeshifters oracle and Les vampires Oracle by Lucy Cavendish. The artwork is so cute but it just doesn't connect with me.. it sucks but I guess ending up with decks you don't connect with is part of this whole journey. Decks you thought you'd connect with and love end up not doing so.. Ah well. Also the cat tarot which is super cute but I hardly reach for it because it just doesn't have enough for me to go by.. also why I wouldn't buy the kawaii tarot as you'd almost need to rely entirely on your existing knowledge of the card meanings as opposed to using part intuition

No audible gasp from me about the Mystical Moments. That gorgeous artwork is right up my alley, but the keyword issue is the exact reason I haven't picked it up. Whenever I lust after that deck I reach for my Vintage Wisdom Oracle instead. The book for the VWO is beautifully written, yet the images and keywords give me enough to work with the deck intuitively. I love your anti-haul videos! 💖💖

I'm glad to see you ordered the Spanish version of Fairy Tale Tarot by Lisa Hunt and will use the app for the book. :) I was going to recommend that because it is such a beautiful deck. I'm lucky enough to own a copy, but I'm afraid to use it since it's worth so much. Also, like you mentioned with the Baba Studios fairytale deck, I do find myself needing to reference the book all the time. Many of the stories are familiar, but there are a BUNCH that aren't. BTW, the book is also by Lisa Hunt. I admire all the work she put into it! Always enjoy your anti-haul videos!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all three of these videos - especially the length of them; thank you for doing them. I can so relate to you when you say "I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people moaning when I say this..." as I've not backed or gotten quite a lot of decks that I just don't resonate. Deviant Moon, Mary El, Fountain, Moon Child are ones I just don't 'get' but are wildly popular. I'm very glad we have KZbin for deck reviews, so we can see all the cards and get a feel before spending money. Jennifer Willowynd had a charity auction recently (on Mama Squirrel's Witchy Wisdom in Facebook), and I found I donated eight decks (gasp!) without felling any remorse. It gave me joy to see them going to a great home and was for a great cause. I have been using a deck a month, and based on that usage, if I can't really bond, I think I'll donate more. I'm wary of jumping the gun now when there is a wave of FOMO going around the community. I did buy the True Black, and had regret almost immediately. I luckily was able to sell it on eBay for what I paid (lesson learned). I suppose I am fortunate that I am too picky to have too many deck regrets. I was tempted by the Light Seers, but I find I'm not as drawn to many modern decks - with the exception of the Modern Witch's Tarot, which I have. For Oracle decks, I have to have keywords and I have to 'see' the story. You (dog gone it!) have me eyeing the Root and Wings Oracle now.....I have a list of "Maybes" that I'll put a deck on for months while I return to video reviews to check back and see if I still really really want them. So on that list it goes. ;) While I like the animal art for Forest of Enchantment, the rest of the cards didn't 'sing' to me, so I opted out. Thank you again for this series! It's been a lot of fun.

I agree with so much of this!!! I think it's important to figure out what you will and won't really enjoy using!! I've enjoyed having a more minimalist collection in the past (like 5-7 decks) and enjoy my much larger collection now... but that may shift again in the future. Who knows! :) The Roots & Wings is incredible. Just saying.

Since you brought up the Starseed Oracle, I was wondering if you had seen the Yogic Path Oracle. It is written by Sahara Rose and the artwork is Danielle Noel. If you like yoga or Hindu deities, it is gorgeous. I'm sure you've seen it. It's gorgeous. I appreciate what you said about Kickstarter backing. For me it's hard to put money out for something I may not see for a year. I'm impatient as hell! I am considering backing the "Foragers Daughter Tarot ".I have been very much into the whole Herb /Plant /Animal type decks lately. I recently purchased the Bottanical deck by Jessica Bott and I love that it's a tarot and Oracle deck in one or should I say it's a Tarot deck and Oracle deck together? Anyway it's 130 cards. I feel you on a lot of my oracle deck preference being based on keyword style. There are a few I love specifically for drawing one and going to the book, but most oracle decks I want to be able to read without the book. We must share tastes a bit--I neither have nor plan to buy the vast majority of the decks you've mentioned. I wanted to love the Field Tarot so much because I like the art style a lot, but when I look at it I just see the same thin body shape over and over and cannot get past it. I feel like the Fountain Tarot is one that's been on my wishlist SO LONG, like since it was independent, and it's just never been one I've bought... no idea why. It feels kind of wintery to me so maybe this year...

Oracle of Mystical Moments is AMAZING! Girl... Love me the Field Tarot but it for sure is not for everyone. The Fountain Tarot is more watery to me than airy. Roots & Wings is so so tempting. I just can't work with the alien-looking human figures. I should watch a walkthrough and figure out how many cards I'd have to remove. I've tried and tried to de-sensitize myself, but so far no luck :( Oh, and you should go for the Everyday Witch Oracle! It's a little different than you'd expect, being in an order that's not so easy to follow in the guidebook, but the spirit and the art will make you happy :)

ugh i want that light seers deck so bad, but i just... can't buy it without the original 10 of swords. i wish i had been into tarot before so i could've funded it and bought the original copy. i like everything about it except that i'd be getting a very flat ten of swords as a replacement... not just that but the energy of switching out to appeal to a few critics.... yeah i wouldn't be able to use it.

I just realized 2 weeks ago that there even was a “The last unicorn” tarot and as soon as I did, I placed an order an I just got it a few days ago and it’s gorgeous but because I wasn’t originally a backer I didn’t get the pretty nice wooden box. I did order one of the pretty scarves though, I was under the impression that it was real silk, but sadly it wasn’t . It’s still pretty though. that movie made such an impression on me as a little girl. I was so happy when I found that deck existed. I wanted the Fairytale tarot by Lisa Hunt so bad too, so I ended up getting the Spanish version when I realized the English version wasn’t available anymore. It’s beautiful, I love the backs they’re so pretty.

YES it made such an impression on me too - it remains my favourite childhood movie of all time and I got to watch it during a movie tour that happened that Peter S Beagle spoke at, got some goodies signed etc. I'm gutted that people are ordering and receiving their decks while i'm STILL waiting, even though their shipments don't include the stretch goals. I'm so glad you like it though!!! Do you find it readable?? That's my one concern, not that I'll mind either way since I'm such a fan!

Supportive Tarot with Lisa Honestly I’ve not worked with it yet, I’ve just been admiring the artwork which was really why I wanted it, I was afraid it might not be that readable too but I think it will translate alright. Yeah it is crazy you’re still waiting, I was shocked to hear you say you we’re still waiting. I’ve never backed a kickstarter at least not as of yet so I’m not sure how it really works, I was under the impression that everyone who backed it got theirs already. But that is insane! it has Amazing cardstock though. It’s that rose petal finish it feels lux.

I've heard of both. I anti-hauled the Tarot of Nuit (I think?) it's a bit too video-game-fantasy-art to me. Tarot of the Vampyres hasn't ever really caught my attention, but I've seen it and it has a cool gothy aesthetic!

The original 10 of Swords shows a woman with 10 knife wounds/scars on her back. The revised is a woman standing at a cliff looking out into the horizon while 10 crows fly overhead.

I know this is an anti-haul video...but can I just say that the Roots & Wings Oracle is officially on my wishlist?lol...I have a couple of fairy oracle decks that I kind of regret buying...I like fairies but they don't seem to want to speak to me! :P ...Now that I come to think about it, most of my regrets are oracle decks ... my Tarot regret purchases are not related to the decks themselves as such but rather to the fact that I got the decks for a specific reason but I didn't ended up doing what I had in mind. :)

Roots and Wings is a stunner of a deck for sure! And I'm with you, I haven't jived with many fairy-based decks period (with a couple exceptions) and agree that I'm more likely to regret an oracle than a tarot deck!

Oh Lisa, I love these antihauls, who cares if it's closer to 1 hour than to 30 min, lol. omg, so many people wanting the Wizards Tarot, and nope, I don't like it, except for the Star card, maybe.... it's fairly easy to get it in Spanish. I totally agree on the Oracle Of Mystical Moments... I just don't get that deck. I feel the meanings of the oracle cards have no real depth or though behind them - it just seems to be pushing the artwork, which is gorgeous, but as an oracle deck, it doesn't work. I think I will crop off the titles and only use it as a purely intuitive deck. I can't see myself letting go of this deck either, as it's just too gorgeous! It feels vintage, secret and hidden somehow. You know? :-)

Well, you can do the same thing with Wizards Tarot and Fairy Tale...get the deck in Spanish and the book in the app on Fool's Dog. I got the Wizards book to check out for $4. Cheap enough! Don't think I want the actual deck though. Saves me $35. It's a good way to go.

Regrets? I've had a few...just lately I got Tarot of the Hidden Realms after waffling for about...3 years (maybe even longer!) I just decided screw it I want to hold the cards and check them out. And the art IS beautiful. I even did some great readings with it. It's just not my thing. I found all the faces really distracting. Also, the Daemon Tarot...tried to fix it but there's just too much. I want to do other stuff with my time..I hate the backs, it isn't tarot, I am an inch from just tossing the whole thing in the trash.
