I discovered these movies about 6 months ago. Never a dull moment & gives me great respect & admiration for the Chinese. Japanese were surprised of the fierce resistance of the Chinese. Better than Hollywood cuz actors are authentic. I CAN FEEL it! I tell all my friends too.

In reality, Japan won most of the battles in the Second Sino-Japanese War. To begin with, most of the armies that fought against Japan were Nationalists, and the Communist forces only fought small-scale guerilla warfare, and did not fight in the way depicted in this film. These anti-Japanese films were made to alleviate the dissatisfaction of ethnic minorities against the rule of the Chinese Communist Party and to encourage people to unite by creating a common enemy, Japan. These films are heavily influenced by propaganda, and the content is far from historical fact, so they should not be considered as accurate history. If we want to praise the Chinese people during the Second Sino-Japanese War, we should praise the Nationalists, not the Communists. The Nationalists at that time were really brave.
