I made this last Thanksgiving and my family could not stay away from it. A slice and then a bite followed a bite, with them standing at the kitchen counter nomming until it was gone.

I remember seeing her on a documentary where she talked about how she made the 1st one. She said it was used with milk that had cornflakes soaked in it so not sure how it got to ordering a specific corn powder on Amazon. Regardless I love your accurate depiction of what most of us experience in the kitchen. Great video.

Every time I see a cooking video that has leftover egg whites, I can't help think "Meringues!". Especially the idea of trying to make something vaguely resembling the zucker flavoured meringue cookies I had in Dresden 4+ years ago. Note, zucker = sugar, so they were plain sugar flavour. No appliance should hold enough of a electric charge to give you a shock, ever! Unless you open it up and touch something. As soon as you turn it off or unplug it there should be no charge left. You are getting electric shock from your cake mixer not the mains power. The mixer has a capacitor inside that is discharging across your hand when you touch the pins on its plug , around 500V. This is a bad design or fault in the mixer and I would get it checked out by an electrician. It doesn't matter if your hands are wet or dry. Just want to keep you safe 😊
