Favorite Instructor on KZbin. I love guys like you and Tu Lam who donate class clips to us all. This is a huge service, especially considering I can’t tell you how much money I’ve *almost* wasted on an instructor that definitely would have taught me the lean-forward/hand-on-chest crap. You and Tu teach principles that are subjectively refined through experience.

As always, excellent breakdown of the aspects of performance shooting along with the teaching of how to compartmentalize fundamentals in a certain amount of time. Another words, not just telling the student to go faster, but rather teaching them a consistent systematic why to do so. This channel deserves to be so much bigger.

Gotta do something different audio wise. Your montage clips are super loud compared to your dialogue, and the shot timer beeps are deafening when volume is turned up loud enough to hear you speak.

Another great instructional video brother. And all of these Knick knack comments. If you don't like the video slide on by. Hell and as far as competition shooters and press checks most competitive shooters can out shoot most any combat shooter. And yes on the battle grounds things are handled differently. I respect anyone who has ever been in combat war or on the streets as LE. But ask most military guys that has ever shoot with a competitive shooter they will tell you they learned something if there egos aren't to proud. Again great content Rick always open to listen and go apply.

That’s not why he occluded the red dot. The reason to do that is to force you to be target focused at all times because the moment your vision focuses on the dot you no longer see the target.

A question sir, usmc never shot pistol in the corps tho just rifles, a trainer told me to always take my weak hand or support hand to my chest during draw to avoid flagging the hands, just if you don’t mind give advise on what exactly to do , i understand this is for cops, but just as a dude who wants to get better what do i do?

Something amateurs and competition shooters do. You take your gun out of battery to check if a round is in the chamber. By that logic you should do one after you fire each shot, if you are uncertain the gun is not feeding when you load it, why would you be certain it was loaded after each shot.

Press checks are not free. Glocks have a loaded chamber indicator on the extractor that can be felt in the dark. You can feel the slide pick up a round. Run the slide without a magazine and then with a loaded magazine; it feels and sounds completely different. Taking the gun out of battery while under duress is not smart. This is cool guy in the movie range theatrics that many insecure shooters do, all the way to the top. You learned it in the corps, they teach it because they know most of the military isn’t very sharp.
