One tip that applies to anywhere in the Caribbean: Check the cruise ship schedule! The best day to explore St. John's is when there are no cruise ships docked.

Quick video suggestion: explore the coastline of the US - from Maine to Texas and then Cali to Washington (Maybe HI & AK too). I’d love to hear your favorite coastal towns, physical geography, climate patterns, etc. Thanks for the great content as always and glad to hear you had a great Caribbean trip.

You should do a video or a series of videos where you or maybe you and a friend draft a “lineup” of your 25 favorite cities in the US or the US and Canada. You could pit the two lineups of cities against each other and rank them based on categories such as cost of living, crime, climate, entertainment, sports teams, outdoor activities, cultural diversity, history, etc.

Great vid as always! You really are super knowledgeable and I look forward to every one of your new videos. Here's a question - got a recommendation for a good large world map, something like a 40"x80"? I'd like to put one on my office wall but with every map I see on Amazon or what not I find myself nitpicking little stuff, so I would love to hear what companies you may like/if you have a specific large map you like. Cheers!

Part of the reason for less development on Barbuda is that the land on this island is held in common, and is not available for private purchase.
@paullennon79952 жыл бұрын
Wife and I have just returned from there, the people are great, friendly, helpful and polite. The downside is that the country is a giant garbage dump of plastics, old cars, tires and used appliances. A tour around the island proves that they do not have recycling facilities or the ability to scrap anything. Lots of potential for tourism but there are other places to visit that are not dumps!

I hate that we still live in a world where this bears saying but if you're going to be making travel overviews it would be worthwhile to add a short note or paragraph in there somewhere about LGBT tourism. The unfortunate reality is that countries that could be perfectly pleasant for a straight couple could be a death trap or at least an abusive nightmare for a gay pair who are trying to make the same trip. The reality is is that homosexuality is still illegal on the islands carrying up to a 15 year sentence with zero recognition of same sex couples or protections against discrimination or harassment. I hate that I have to say these things about such a gorgeous little slice of paradise, but that's the reality of what it is and I think adding a short note to future videos of this kind would do your audience a lot of good should they be inspired to look into vacationing there themselves.
@bundevsawhney75782 жыл бұрын
As much as these barbaric laws need to go away, it is quite rare for any of these countries to crack down on tourists specifically. It would be massively terrible PR for them to do so through their legal system. With that being said, it's of course understandable to be concerned that any level of public displays of affection could cause hostility. But I think that's the reality of places where homosexuality isn't well tolerated - it's usually enforced through social stigma more than legal punishments.
@samwill72592 жыл бұрын
@@bundevsawhney7578 That's true. I highly doubt that the police forces of a small Caribbean nation is going to attempt the arrest and conviction of an American couple without getting immediately smacked with the kind of diplomatic suckerpunch they'd rather avoid. The reality is though that there's nothing stopping someone from bashing you over the head because they saw you holding hands as you walk down the street.

can people in antigua Barbuda visit the United States without much process of visa?
@ChandelierDemocraticSino2 жыл бұрын
if any foreigners. live there for more than three month, it can be boring and inconvenient, right?
@GeographyKing2 жыл бұрын
I think foreigners who move there do so for the quiet and not for excitement. It's a very laid-back island. I wouldn't say it's inconvenient, but traveling around the island can be slow and some things may take a little longer, so it depends on your preferences. I think people who move to the Caribbean are OK with slow pace and less excitement
