From the 213' Schooner Adix to tiny singlehanded Ellamia and Carriacou sloops built on the beach down island, it was a feast for the eyes. Shoreside parties astern of the boats on the historic Georgian Quay at Nelson's Dockyard celebrated the boats, and the spirit of those who sailed them. Live music, often played by the sailors themselves gives this regatta a bohemian feel that is uncommon nowadays.
