No I havent been to Antiparos or a nude beach . Menorca in Spain is a great island to visit and has some lovely beaches in little coves . It is popular with families and whilst I dont think they have any nude beaches it is common to see mothers in their 30s and 40s ( mainly Spanish ) topless .

You say that being nude is 'strange' and 'different.' Once you've got used to it you'll think it's strange that anyone would put on special clothes just to get wet in the water. Someone commented that it is unusual to see black people at a nude beach. I go to Greece a lot and have often noticed that the vast majority of tourists are white and that other races are sparsely represented compared with their numbers in the general population. I remember seeing a British South Asian woman topless on a Greek beach in the 1980s. It was so unusual that it stuck in my mind although women going topless was very common at the time.

This was a new experience for us. We did not see many black people in Crete, Paros or Antiparos. We saw a few in Mykonos old town ... agree with your comments on visitor demographics. What are some of your favorite nude beaches in Greece? Have you visited other nude beaches in other countries?

@@MarvandAnnMarie I only went to Greece many years ago to Zakynthos and normally go to Spain , but in Ibiza you do see quite a few black British people although I havent been to a nude beach I did see a couple of black women topless . The funniest thing I saw was two young African boys who had made friends with a white Dutch boy who was aged about ten and they kept trying to peek at his busty topless Mommy !

What do you think about American passport holders having to get fingerprinted, traced and registered before visiting Europe starting in November 2024? Good thing or a bad thing?

I think overall good and make those countries safer. Most visitors need visas with extensive checks prior to arrival and fingerprint upon arrival to the US. This new EU seems to be simpler reciprocal requirement.

The rules for getting an ETIAS registration do not require you to get fingerprinted. It's going to be very similar to the ESTA required by citizens of many countries to go the the USA which is not very difficult. However as a British person I'm annoyed that Brexit means that I will have to register with ETIAS whereas previously I had unlimited access to any EU country.

@@MarvandAnnMarie For UK visitors fingerprints were not required when I updated my US ESTA earlier this year. Fingerprints were required when I was living in the US with a working visa.

@@MarvandAnnMarie I've been going since 1992. You used to be able to be nude on more beaches, including Psaraliki 2. There are lots more tourist shops up the main street - there used to be only shops around the port and around the square with a gap in between where the buildings were just houses.
