Wonderful! You did an excellent job all the way through, but for me the best element was the leather straps. You brought them back to life whilst keeping their history, I think even some of the top restorers might have been tempted to replace them. Loving your videos.

I think that perhaps the long pumping lever (the one you made) is normaly left on the sprayer so that the operator can top off the pressure durring use by reaching up with his hand to pump the lever; while still wearing the unit. I would also conjecture that the reason it was missing is because the operator took it off and threw it across the fields after it hit him in the head a few too many times🤣🤣. It would be nice to know what the manual says about that perhaps being true. You do beautiful restoration work!
@coreyschmidt16475 жыл бұрын
I would guess the original rotted away, by the looks of the brochure he had from the manufacturer that part appeared to be a stamped part. As far as the hitting in the head part, the tank should be rotated in the cradle so the handle is off to one side, doing so would also line the emblem on the pressure tank to centered when worn.

An excellent restoration! The whole thing has turned out very well, the problem with this type of back pack sprayer is that they feel very cold on your back,(and heavy), I think your next restoration should be on your friends abandoned house ! That looks really lovely, and the cat would enjoy that as well. One thing you really should consider is buying a small Soda Blaster, they are rally fantastic things that will get into tiny corners on projects like this, the good thing is that they do not remove any metal/wood, just the oxidisation, I am really glad that you restored the leather straps, most people would have thrown those away, but they were very restorable as you proved. Many thanks for posting this ! Chris B.
@453421abcdefg123455 жыл бұрын
I use the 10 Gal one with a bottom feed tank, they are very cheap, but you will need a 15 or 20 CFM compressor, the good thing with these is they do not destroy any material, you can even take paint off glass without damage.
