Not even worth the price tag they hang on it. AND SINCE WHEN DOES A CNC REPROGRAMMED LATHE TAKE ... HOW LONG DID YOU CLAIM? Finding all the component parts and fittings and proper air supply hose is another issue. and then finding a decent dry suit that even looks like the original design at a fair price is yet another issue. This investment clearly isn't for working. When in fact; it is better than many designs for certain work and underwater functions. A working diver/welder welding for hours on end and day in and day out would find this mode of dress far better and comfortable than any modern day equipment. FROM EXPERIENCE.

+DALE thebelldiver Not really sure what you are trying to say, here. You say it is not worth the price, then go on to say it's far better than certain designs for certain jobs. Can you clarify?

no; I wasn't drunk. They claim it takes a month and a half to machine the parts. I own a CNC lathe and can make each part in about an hour maybe two for complex cuts. I'm saying they are over pricing the equipment because they don't really care if they sell or not as far as competing with the commercial diving industry. These helmets are as good today as they were in the early days. I've worked in them extensively and they have their place. Especially in a welding situation where long term exposures are experienced on a daily basis. Nothing beats heavy dress in situations like this. They should cost $1,000 TOPS

You have no clue what you're talking about I'm afraid. If the MKV mod(fill in the blank) were "better than many designs" we never would have dropped it. And I don't miss the dry suit... give me the new neoprene and the MK12 any day of the week over the MKV. Coms.. far better in the new rigs, defogging-don't get me started.. comfort, I'd never go back. You're talking like a non-swim, sorry.
