Still in marvelous condition 110 yrs later working well. It was engineered to last for decades, built like a battle ship. I noticed the roping was 1:1 5000# capacity however the extended length of the counterweight with the added weight blocks, likely compensated in lieu of a 2:1 roping and compensating sheave on the cab and counterweight.
