I agre, they should have been cut a little bit lower, but the beets are not for sugar, they are for feeding cows.

@@kristiankrogh3227 I think the filmmaker doesn't know the difference between fodder beet and sugar beet because these fodder beets look very similar to sugar beet

All the bitter substances go into the juice and spoil the sugar
