How cool antique trucks and trains! Love them all!

The yellow Mack A at 2:15 looks just like the one we had at San Juan County (WA) Public Works in the 80s. The 22" aluminum rims on the front were off of one of the Ford L8000 dump trucks, it had a 6 cyl. gas engine. It was an exceptionally nice solid truck.
@twatson703 Жыл бұрын
This was ten years ago. I'm definitely ready for them to visit again. This was a beautiful collection. It's very possible that the yellow Mac is the same truck you saw in the 80s. I don't know how we would find out unless someone that knows this truck chimes in with more information.

That´s exactly what I thought too. I am an avid railfan and I know Train mountain is the biggest model railway line in the world but to have vintage trucks around the 7.25 gauge modeltrains is sheer bliss

That cabover Mack at 6:20 reminds me of one like that a old man use to have that looked just like that truck besides the color and he was out of Bradenton,FL I think and it was blue and he pulled a flatbed and it's been about 15 years since I last seen it on the road and he would run 70-75mph loaded up and down the interstate!!!

Glad you enjoyed it. If you want to see some still pictures, they are in the Gallery on the Train Mountain website. KZbin wont let me put a link here, but figure this out, tmrr dot org. Then on the left side look down the nav bar for the Gallery. The trucks are in the 2013 folder, antique trucks subfolder.

The owner of the video only wants LIKEs but does NOT mind informing what year and brand are the trucks that pass? as IF everyone knew them for 60 years? Or more here there are fans from 12 years to 90
@twatson7034 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, when shooting a video like this one you only have as much information as the owners of the trucks provide. Most of which was provided by signs of which the image is included in the video. It is like watching a parade anywhere, as a spectator you only have what you see.

It's been nearly nine years ago, so I don't remember all the details. However I believe that the 1937 Mack Jr. is just too rare and valuable to risk on the highway. Also, there may have been a shortage of qualified drivers on their insurance coverage. It was unloaded and driven during the stay.

This was nine years ago, but I do remember that this entire collection was owned by one person, and he had drivers come from all over to drive in this convoy. Some of the drivers were from Australia and other international places. I would really like to see something like this happen again, it was really neat. Great people and beautiful trucks.
