Good morning I have a tea set that is onviously porcelain and light and translucent . It is obviously hand painted with cranes / storks but there is a lot of gold painted on it which I thought was more the japanese style ? .The stamp is hand painted in black ( 6 symbols ) and the only symbol I've identified is the fuku symbol . Can i send you a picture ?

Chinese ware are more refine, delicate.

This probably would have been better bowl compared to bowl, plate compared to plate, vase compared to vase. Older Japanese export of course is much less common than Chinese, plus it varies quite a lot in quality and materials as well compared to Chinese as well, never quite as fine as Chinese but there are comparable examples, just never quite as fine. Stilt marks are always a big give away too, which are never on anything Chinese.
