The Nāwahī painting was donated to the Kamehameha Schools and now resides at the Kaʻiwakīloumoku Hawaiian Cultural Center. It was appraised at $450,000 at the time of donation. It truly is a national treasure, and how wonderful for the owners to donate it so it can be shared and appreciated as part of Nāwahī’s amazing legacy.
