Clay, I love looking at all that old stuff. I like when you find something and not know what it is. That first table with the cast iron. he had some nice stuff, but it was all retail prices. The second table had lots of Griswold. The ovel roaster on the second table would been good if it was a Griswold or Wagner. If you find one like that with name brand. It would have been a good buy. I would like to make it up to those areas to shop and look someday. We just don't have sales like those here. See you on the next video.

Edit: So many things I remember from my childhood ,thing is they were old then to. We lived in tge country an we had one country store an everything in there was old. From the cash register, to the paper roller used to wrap fatback, the only meat product sold. Dry beans, potatoes, a few can goods like orange juice, she kept some for people who didn't own a refrigerator. Yes some poor people didn't own a fridge or TV even in the 60s. She tried to take care of people in the community, especially the poor with kids. She kept aspirin on hand. I remember getting sick with a cold,it was snowing out abd daddy's old Ford wouldn't crank. He walked the eight miles there and back that day. He got a bottle of Bayer aspirin and two large cans of Blue Bird orange juice. It was nice and cold when he got home. He gave me two aspirin an a glass of orange juice. We didn't get orange juice often, tho it was can,it still tasted so good. With a fever an a stopped up nose, I could taste the strong flavor from it being canned. Yes we were poor. But I wouldn't change much about growing up in the country back on a long dirt road surrounded by a cotton field across the road, a cow pasture behind the house that ended into woods all around for miles abs miles. Grandad took us rabbit hunting, fishing in the river that the water was always cold as ice. Blackberry picking, and long walks in the woods. He took us on outings to get us out of mommas hair on warsh day. My older brother only a year older than me,looked for Indian artifacts. He's always been into archeology. Deep in the woods Grandad took us to what wS was left of a totem pole. Made from a solid tree carved out. Lots of Indian mounds scattered thru the woods. Cotton fields newly plowed we found arrowheads. Not far from the river,a patch of trees were left in center of a cotton field. A small patch of woods basically, left for the hands to rest when eating dinner when it was hoping the fields or picking cotton time. Being pretty close to the river,Indians camped in those woods at one time in the past. Plenty if broken pottery, but we never found anything we could put back together. Colors were still visible on most pieces. Reds and blues, black were mostly used. My brother was running home,it was Fall of the year and he had been out in the woods for hours ,trying to make it home before dark. It got dark early an it was becoming foggy already. Mom was standing at the edge of woods yelling for him. He was smart knew the risk of getting lost if he lost daylight. He stumbled over some briars his foot got tangled up in. AS he was getting up, there at his hand was a hatchet. He didn't take time to inspect it but could hear momma yell for him. When home he looked it over, some wood was still attached an a small piece of leather. He was proud of it,and glad for getting caught up in the briar. He took it to school the next day to show our principle. He had shown all his findings to him,for he was into Indian artifacts as well. He offered him 5 dollars for it. He took the money. To an eleven year old, that was a lot of money. He also sold him a gold ring that had the initials S D on it. He found it lodged in the ground ,we were digging up worms to go fishing. Again five dollars for a ring that was pretty fancy. It was wide and the initials were in the center on top.No telling how many years the ring had been in the ground. Lost by a soldier perhaps. Again put in the woods, pulling back leaves, the earth is always damp under leaves deep in the woods. On cold windy days, the pines talk of bad weather coming in. If they're whispering, they're telling secrets of a people that use to live among them. So sorry about the rant. Just going back to my childhood. Nobody seems to care to listen to takes from the old folks. If you stuck with me thank you.
