Antiquing Silver With Liver of Sulfur - Artificially Toning Silver

In this video I will be experimenting with liver of sulfur and its ability to antique silver within minutes!
Items I used in this video were:
Liver of sulfur gel
1 oz silver round
Hot water/water
Baking soda
Stop watch
Stirring straws
Disposable gloves

Nice bro... if you take some steel wool and rub it lightly over the toned coin it will give it more of an antiqued look

If your looking to "colorize" your coin, that's the way to do it. However, I'm not a fan of artificial toning. If I have a toned coin, I want it to be from years of existence and everything it went through! Now that I type, I guess it is really a different thing...colorizing vs toning! Then there's antiquing...which I like! It gives great highlights to the silver! Thanks for the video LHB...very interesting!

You should be using 90% isopro alc. The 50% stuff has things like lotions mixed in.

Hello all , I have a : 1922-S Peace Dollar 90% Silver , I can tell right off the bat that it has been cleaned before , It has really nice detail but it is really dull with no luster or shine , ( Just white Looking ) Is there anything I can do to bring back the luster / shine ? I have a small Wizz wheel with low speed but don't want to polish the coin & Don't even know what type of Matel polish to use , But like I said would not want to polish.
