ANTISPIN - Carlos Mühlbach vs Carlo Rossi (Challenger series May 5th 2021, group match)

Honestly I thought Rossi would be in trouble here.
Antispin confuses many players and Carlos Mühlbach is very dangerous with it!
But after first game Rossi got quite used to it and the BIG FIGHT started!

The problem is, he plays not just anti. He play also the regular offense rubber to attack and counter attack. He combines both systems and that makes his play so difficult. But if the opponent can learn understanding the anti game, like here, he can win finally.

I haven't heard of ANYONE who uses anti on both sides... Everyone who uses anti also uses regular inverted rubber, otherwise it's like going to a sword fight with two shields and no sword. There was a guy I knew who used long pips on both sides, though, he had been in a car accident and had limited mobility, so he chopped from both sides and didn't have much of an attack. Was rated above 1900.. over 20 years ago.

I have a couple of friends who are close to the table defensive anti players. The problem I see with it is, if the opponent knows antispin very well, it's easy for the opponent to dictate the pace of the game.

Yes correct. In fact play passive and you can get thrashed, as to be fair, anti ain't got power in the hit game, so it can be a hinderance if you play too passive. This is exactly what's happened to me lately. However, play aggressive, twiddle a bit, and use decent placement and depth, it can still throw players off. Get a few weird blocks in....it can go your way........another plus is that as most players wouldn't go the anti way, so when an inexperienced or inpatient player plays a good anti player it can be frustrating, the anti player can have the edge.

I am defensive player. By using antispin Nittaku for my backhand really help me to give some trouble to my opponents.

@@amitkishoresinha8964 better combine with defensive blade layer for bh, attacking blade layer for fh. Just search in the Internet defensive blada for table tennis. Right now I am using Spinlord Blade. Waiting for the Friendship Rubber 804 antispin to come. Just wanna try new kind of rubber. Some people said that the rubber also can do attack. Half antispin

What anti being used here ? I use neo anti. When I play, I have to be proactive to beat players who are more comfortable with playing against it. So, I still must attack with normal rev side, but also with the anti rubber as well. It's more effective when one plays an active game.

I'm 72 have just put anti-spin on one side of my bat trying to slow down a little. Find I'm able to smash with it really easily, my other side is RacsaZ. Am learning to twiddle so the different speeds are stuffing the opposition up.

Para ser efectivo debes jugar corto al centro y largo a las esquinas. No tener un ritmo estable y atacar tus servicios. El objetivo de un caucho como este es hacer perder la confianza al oponente y ceder la iniciativa del ataque. Ganar puntos es posible cuando el otro jugador no conoce este tipo de cauchos o cuando no sabe exactamente qué efecto puso en la bola y con qué intensidad. El error más común es levantar la bola en el centro de la mesa permitiendo al oponente definir cómodamente. A medida que se llega al punto 7 se debe jugar más agresivo incluso atacar de pivote. El entrenamiento de desplazamiento y definición de smash y contra ataque son clave para jugar a nivel alto.

Yo juego de revés con gantli y Por lo general cuando saca mi oponente lo corto como si fuera chop pero a veces me funciona y otras no..cual seria el ideal en un saque del otro openente..me gusta tu consejo de enviar la bola al centro y corto lo pondré en marcha!...saludos.
