Honestly if I did a run in platinum that involved dragons I m gonna add the dragon egg group just to have something that could be an interesting run and be a little more lose with the team.

I'd just rationalize that specialists know better than I do and allow any "Dragon" that has been used by a Dragon-type specialist in the games. That'd give you some fun non dragon options like the Charmander line, Gyarados, Aggron etc...

I think it’s more than okay whenever you do a run with a typing you can’t get before the first gym to just randomize one of the starters into the earliest Pokémon you can get of that type.

Totally! Plenty of people give themselves a viable starter for their nuzlockes. A lot of people even choose to replace a specific starter so their rival will have the most difficult type for them to go against.

Just a small tip: Right above Oreburgh city there is patch of grass that spawns machop, ponyta and and geodude but we don't need those. Ponyta gives speed evs and machop gives attack so that might be helpful in later runs. Also the video is so entertaining. Thanks so much for that. Super excited for the randomizer.

I did this in bdsp with a swablu as a starter. It was extremely difficult because everything has coverage like dazzling gleam or ice moves. Holy sh*t

Don’t forget that they scrubbed Dragon Dance from its moveset for some reason… one of the weakest dragons without mega and they got rid of its only saving grace.

I supose you know this at this point since you were making a randomizer, but there's a new option in the universal randomizer that allows for more usefull movesets for enemy Pokémon and harder teams too i think, so It could be interesting to see this new randomizer with these changes. Congrats for beating platinum with only 2 dragons! And i want you to attept another hard one whih is bug only in kanto (firered and leafgreen). I think it will be very challenging because not only there are only 5 bug types u can have (pinsir and scyther are version exclusive) but also theyre pretty weak in the late game and the 1st gym and there are very few bug pokemon that learn bug moves (beedrill learns twinneedle and pin missile and thats the only bug who learns them). So i hope you will do this challenge and i really enjoy your content!

“Hardcore” pokemon isn’t a super hard game, you should try some of these challenges with roms, like renegade platinum for example. Game is way harder but it’s such a fun pokemon rom, I recommend it to any 4th Gen fans
