The second time when Danielle showed up was actually 5:06/5:07 so 36-37 minutes late (you can see in video at 17:33). They gave an update on Jade at 5:20 while she was at her go-see (in the video at 17:46). Last time it showed was at 5:40 like you said, an hour and 10 minutes late (in video at 18:16). Jade had no shame. 😂

@PrincessPuff
@PrincessPuff 7 ай бұрын
But you KNOW production stepped in and told the girls to look at the clothes. Seriously like why else would that happen? Surely the girls wouldn't have been interested, and honestly surely the designer wouldn't have wanted them to waste any more time there. That was clearly production wanting to make that all more impactful for the audience, which is crap.

Just want to say that I lived in Bangkok and NO ONE other than tourists rides in tuk tuks. They are over priced and very slow. The show definitely set the girls up for failure having them ride in those. Bangkok has an excellent transportation system and the trains are a wonderful way to get around the city and avoid the traffic which is very terrible.

@@PandoraStolen Same. But those are also used mostly in more rural areas. In Manila you'll see them, but not many. Locals mainly are on their own motor bike, in Jeepneys, or car/bus. It stresses me out seeing so many people in flip flops and no helmet on a motor bike but Manila traffic means (even weaving in between cars) they're never gonna be going U.S. highway speeds. Still dangerous but not as much 😅

We lived and kinda still live in a society where youth means beauty. People are obsessed with trying to fight aging of any kind. So I guess in the industry: the younger you are, the more beautiful and versatile. It’s still so weird to me. 22 isn’t old at all. But at the time I guess it was unusual for new models to start out in their twenties. Even Tyra started out in modeling as a young teen. Personally, I think it should be normal to start out later and get yourself educated and mature more so the industry can’t take advantage of you so easily.

I married a man whose family immigrated from India. They also don’t wear shoes inside. They have house shoes, similar to Japan. I picked up the habit from him. I can’t wear shoes inside anymore. I wear socks most of the time. I’ve found that most of my American friends don’t wear shoes inside anymore. It keeps your hardwood floors clean and if you have carpets, it definitely helps with the wear and tear. I just have to say that I love Danielle. She’s so nice and she comes across as real. Jade leaves me speechless. Since I don’t have anything nice to say, I will leave it at that.

I think removing your shoes is normal everywhere except usa 🤔 I live in europe. No one I know walks with the shoes. Everyone has slippers. I can't walk is just socks tho it grosses me out. Floors can be wet for whatever reason - when you cook and wash the dishes for example there can be a little wet spot on the floor and there is nothing worse than stepping on something wet in socks.

I’ve come to realize that as well. I’m American but was raised to always take shoes off (South Asian dad and White mom who was raised this way). Worst part is my sister who often doesn’t!! We were raised in the same house 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think it's very common in American homes to keep shoes on but I don't think a lot people see it as weird or anything to take shoes off. When I first lived on my own, I kept a shoe mat by the front door and I didn't even have to tell my friends to take their shoes off, they just did it because they saw the other shoes on the mat. I also hate shoes in the house but I clean my shoes every now and then too

A lot of Americans freak out at the idea of feet being around. I don't exactly like feet, but I've noticed as a culture, my people have a weird anxiety about feet. Even though you wash your feet a lot more often than you wash your shoes . . . But yeah, a friend of mine refuses to be barefoot to the point where she actually puts her shoes back on immediately after showering. Like, she doesn't leave the bathroom until her shoes are back on and she sleeps with socks on so her feet aren't exposed. She's the most extreme example I have, but foot phobia is real around here.

To start as a model, 22 is on the older side. Average starting modeling age is 16. Its not impossible to become successful as model when starting at an ´older´ age, but its more difficult. Designers (especially in the mid 2000s when this antm episode aired) prefer a very waif like body type. Lots of girls can have that build at a younger age, but as with everybody their metabolism slows down somewhere around 20-25 and they start to get ´fuller/curvier´ aka not a bodytype the fashionworld wants to work with. So the younger you are, the more time you have till that happens. Thats why the catwalks were filled with teenagers during most of the 2000s-2010s. For the record, I do not approve this attitude from the fashion world, but thats how it works or at least used to work

About the price, I think that since the judge put such an emphasis on bringing gifts that it sounds right that every designer donated something, like as a point of pride for them. But also that was probably why the producers decided to not give enough time to actually win it 🧐

The house shoes are like a pair of easy slip-ons with a thick rubber sole. They're cheap from walmart so i just replace them when they wear out but they're super comfy and i only wear them inside so they dont wear out TOO quickly . but yea if you need something on ur feet id suggest a pair of house shoes, just leave em by the door and take off your dirty sneakers, boots, etc and slip them on.

They definitely weren't gonna give them two whole racks of designer clothes. It probably would have been her getting to pick two outfits and choosing a friend to pick a third like they usually do. We especially know this is true because production would've already shelled out the money for those clothes and there would've been much greater retribution from them had the clothes gone to waste.

I usually don’t care for the go see challenges because they always have to make at least one girl feel bad for being late even though the models’ lateness is usually beyond their control . also they always make them navigate the streets of a foreign country they’ve never been to before & ask people on the streets for directions .

Jessica, you have to stop looking at this with 2024 vision! 22 was considered old back then and yeah its a bit rude now but back in the 2000s the ideal age to start modeling was mid to late teens. Is the show/production rigged? HELL YEAH! But that doesn't mean that it was all fictional nonsense! 2000s fashion modeling was CALLOUS to anyone who wasn't a tall teenage skinny model with a light complexion! The fashion industry didn't recognize older models or curve models like they try to do now. I feel like you need someone to remind you how brutal it was.

Lol how should she view it? From a 1980s fashion model view? It is 2024, that's why we watch these episodes again because we have a new perspective

@@fernandawritesstories2701 It seems like Jessica loves to hate watch this show and only watches it for the clout. If ANTM wasn't cancelled online in 2020 I doubt her channel would be as popular as it is. I had hope she would eventually something she likes about this show. But I was proven wrong once again. She 100% NEVER WATCHED THIS SHOW WHEN IT WAS ON PRIMETIME TELEVISION. It seems like if you're going to cancel this show then you should cancel ALL REALITY TV!!! It's all rigged, shady, and problematic even the new shows. The only difference is that they know how to hide it better that's all.

I also never understood shoes in the house thing. In Canada (or at least where I am from), it is not normal to wear shoes unless they are specifically indoor shoes.

Yes, they would have won the two racks of clothes. You need to actually watch the show. THEY always need to be on time after go-sees, or they are disqualified.

Antm is literally just a compilation of inconveniences Tyra has had in the industry that she exaggerates for the girls and makes them endure for tv drama 😂😂😂😂
