😂This is actually what is killing the Wolves. They live and die by the 3 when they don't need to do so. Mavs rely on Luka and Kyrie to score the bulk of their points while the rest of the team contains the best players from the opposition. KAT and Ant are not being contained. Plus the wolves bench is actually keeping them in the game. KAT and Ant are however just nonstop bricking. Shooting like 4 for 16 in 2 straight games is terrible for them. And they refuse to make the more efficient 2 in the post. It's the reason the Nugget series had to go 7. When they forced KAT to play Center on offense as well as defense, they actually were able to hold the leads that the bench would get them because KAT is better than Rudy and Naz in that spot on offense. That being said, the wolves would have won last night if Ant would have simply went for 2 layups at the end of the game instead of looking to pass. They are likely going to get swept if they keep shooting 3's when they just are not falling.

​@@shockwave2376 too confident isn't necessary a thing imo but There is a thing that Joe Mazulla talks about all the time and it's why the Celtics are so good this year. He always says, we aren't supposed to or should never expect any particular outcome. We need to focus on winning every quarter by any amount. We need to focus on winning every game no matter how it goes. Expecting to come out and win by 30 and being let down or upset when you are only up 5 or down 5 creates either too much mental pressure and/or causes you to be too relaxed. When he said "we were SUPPOSED to go up BIG" is exactly what he is talking about. That mentality lost them the game.

There's no way to truly know, but them being up 18 and thinking about a blowout might have been enough for them to lose just enough focus to let go of the rope instead. Then when it isn't a blowout like you just thought it would be, you may be slightly discouraged and it may snowball even more. But either mentality technically could go wrong. In the end it's basketball lol. They could be super focused up 18 and still just blow it cause the other team goes nuclear or whatever happens.

This last 2 losing games will help the wolves and ant in long terms. Even if they lose the next 2 or win the next 4, all the experience they got in this last 2 games, will make them better at long term. More experienced, more confident. It's a process.
