Yesterday, september 10 2014, Antoine Duhamel passed the border of eternity. His beautiful music will stay among us forever. Thanks to Gustavo Menezes for uploading something of Duhamel for the joy of those who appreciate good music.

Antoine Duhamel was a main progenitor of the 'nouveau realisme' movement in France. Amongst many chamber works he also composed quite a bit for TV & film - like Georges Delerue, a lot of his music is rather obscure and practically impossible to obtain now. This particular track reminds me a bit of what Sondheim later wrote for (coincidentally another Belmondo film) "Stavisky".

Cinema died today with JLG.
@firstname1588 Жыл бұрын
