I've watched nearly the entire series and just seeing Alex Rich change to his normal accent like that just sounds so different, it blows my mind. Also, I got so used to seeing Antonio Banderas as Picasso, that I feel like Picasso is actually on this show. Amazing acting from both.

The show is great,and very, very accurate, if you read about Picasso. The anecdote about Paloma Picasso closing her eyes when she dined with Banderas because she "saw her father" by listening to Antonio speak is beautiful.

Good interview. By the way this was filmed at the Build Studio, which is on Broadway & 4th Street in NY, where the old Tower Records was located for 25 years. Strange that I see this interview where actual records bins used to be.

I enjoyed the series so so much. I learned a lot too! Following each week’s show I would look up things online to find out more about it...The resemblances of both young and older Picasso were amazing! I was dreading the series being over... the only thing I didn’t like at all was one of the final scenes when Picasso was in his final days...where in his mind all the women, his children and friends gathered to see him. It just didn’t feel like it belonged with the rest of the story - went kind of Disney to me...anyways small complaint over all but still disappointing ending to an awesome well done project!

The accent from Malaga has some peculiarities within the very Andalusian accent (Andalusia is in the south of Spain). For instance the use of "z" instead os "s", saying "mesa" (for table) you would say "meZa", which sounds much like "th" in English. But I think that it is clear that Picasso had an average accent as someone that was widely cultivated. In the same time it is good to tell the world that this guy was Spanish ´cause there is a huge minority that thinks/sees/explains Picasso as a French. This is very common nowdays, as the ignorance is a raging plague all over the world.
