I remember dicovering the Vivaldi Cello Sonatas Recording with Janigro in a New York Library in the late 80ies. I was mesmerized by the beauty of Janigros sound. Also this recording of the Concierto which I had myself at that time was unforgettable. Wonderful musician never to be forgotten!

What a wonderful cellist Janigro was -- Incredibly beautiful playing. I would love to hear the first and final movements of this Vivaldi as well as the Vivaldi-Bach Concerto in G that I believe is on the same album.

Janigro is one of the least well known cellist a d for the fantastic sound he has, it is a real musical injustice. Very few who played Vivaldi this well.
