Jimmy G went to the Super Bowl. Foles won the Super Bowl. Doesn’t that destroy their argument about needing a top tier QB? Great coaching can overcome a bad QB

Al Davis did interviewed Belechik and Gruden for the HC in Oakland .. Amy Trask voted to hire Bill but Davis -continued to interview Jon Gruden for 4days -Bill was a defensive coach coming out Cleveland-which became the Baltimore Ravens -it is reported Bill and Al were good friends who he new through Bill Parcells -According to Amy Trask -Al had some regrets on missing on Bill -and said he should have listened to her..a fascinating story how it could been different..

Anyone in DC could've told you KOC was great. He actually had Haskins trending up and then the first thing Ton Rivera did was kick him out of town for Scott Turner. The first of MANY awful moves.

Any owner who thinks they know more than the football people they hire is dooming his team to failure. The owner should only provide overall direction and moral support and step in if the results do not reach expectations.

The Davis/BB interview was after the Browns job but Al wanted to go with offense… oopsie. Not that it should’ve influenced Davis at the time but there were a lot more than “a few players” who said AP should get the job. All the alumni, damn near every former player turned pundit and a huge contingent of the fan base, the Bisacchia debacle playing no small role. That being said: one of these coaches is not like the others and when you don’t have the players to make up for it, this seems like a logical outcome. Raiders need Telesco to improve upon decades of terrible drafting, and they need a coach who can build something relevant without every piece in place day one. Odds on… Pete Carroll
