The archlute is the centre of this composition, so a pity she's off screen so much, but having long been familiar with this piece, from an old record, it's a joy to finally see the instruments.

Nice flower ...... Странствия в поисках женщин и виски, к ветру идущие все фитили, что пригасали, взгорались при сыске, в этот волшебный цветник привели. С шагом к порогу забылись ненастья. Взятье за ручку добавило сил. Входом за дверь обеспечилось счастье. С ходом пришло расслабление жил. Только я вник в золотое мерцанье, только вдохнул ароматный поток, сразу приметился шарм расцветанья - тихий, никем необнятый цветок... Вдруг захотелось полить его влагой и подселить его к прежним стихам! Так, с возжеланною, нежной отвагой, я прикоснулся к его лепесткам...

Che bella esecuzione! Violini barocchi, violone, organo (quasi) portativo: penso che Vivaldi avrebbe apprezzato. Anche la registrazione è così buona che permette di udire, nei due tempi veloci, il ticchettare dei polpastrelli dell'organista sui tasti. Peccato solo che la liutista non sia quasi mai inquadrata. Oltretutto, mi si permetta, vestita di tutto punto, al contrario di tante strumentiste (per non parlare delle soliste) che oramai si fanno apprezzare prima per le parti del proprio corpo sempre più nude, poi per la qualità del loro suonare.

Rehearse not once but two or three times, with all camera operators schooled in the various instruments, and in a full orchestra, the positions of the lead instruments (first chair). The TD needs to know the music, and if not, be attended by a musician to be ready for transitions from one instrument to another. The TD needs to set up the camera shots in advance. In this piece, the Largo is ideal for an introductory rehearsal with the cameras. If you have the cameras but not enough people, there can be a stationary cover shot. In this case the wide shot is OK for the beginning and end of the concert, but I would not exceed the width of the orchestra during the performance. If possible, have at least one roaming camera to pick up close shots.

What did Vivaldi use in the original score for the organ?

A lovely performance, despite the dreadful camera work. Vivaldi scored the work for what, in English, is called thorough bass (basso continuo, if you prefer). This is pretty standard in most Baroque music. It's a written out base line; and it was assumed that a cellist or bass player -or even bassoon or some combination,, would play the bass line as written. But it was also assumed that some body (or several people) would improvise the appropriate chords and right hand part. Sometimes there are hints as to what the chords should be (figure - therefore sometimes it's called "figured bass." In this piece - as was generally the case in Vivaldi's time - what instrument or combination of instruments was not specified. These days this roll is often assumed by a harpsichord player - but that's not written in stone. The performers could choose and mix and match, lutes harpsichords, organs, guitars. I guess it was often based on who./what was around or maybe simply what the band thought sounded good. So these folks chose an organ - and it does seem to work pretty well , But hunt around KZbin and you'll find other performances with other basso continuo selections and improvisational styles. Hope this helps!

el concierto es para laúd y sin embargo se la muestra poquísimo a la concertista,.....se enfocan mas en el primer violin.....ni siquiera cuando hay solos de Laud, la enfocan? Porqué? No se entiende.....El instrumento que lleva la melodía, queda postergado a un segundo lugar.

Bellissima esecuzione, peccato che il regista non distinguesse l'organo dal liuto. La liutista non viene quasi mai inquadrata, un vero peccato.

Andiamo condividere i più cari regali natalizi ai vostri seguaci nel pubblico invisibile cyber spaziale, ecco perché adesso il lavoro di promotore web diventa il più importante, bussare a tutte le porte e come nella vita reale ricevere le stesse risposte...no grazie, non ci serve nulla, ma poi qualcosa cambia a vedere i giovani felici suonare musica di due cento anni fa invece che giocare alla PlayStation fino al esaurimento morire sui monitor da veri scemi, qualche passo avanti lo abbiamo fatto. Lo sapete che Vivaldi è divo mondiale, basta aggiungere lo yogurt di Merano e nessuno osa ignorarvi più, basta aver voglia correre per mettere le persone in contatto e se vanno tutti cyber amici in visita da voi il mio obbiettivo è raggiunto. E poi andiamo fare la festa del yogurt ye ye ye

The music is beautiful and the recording is great. BUT the director of this video has no idea what to focus on and the lute which is the highlight is playing without the camera on the lutenist. What an amateurish directing and editing job. What a shame.

Bellissimo! Ottima interpretazione di tutti! Ma la prossima volta cambiate regista per le riprese. E' chiaro che questo non capisce nulla di musica, probabilmente pensa che il suono del liuto solista provenga dalla parte dell'organo, e così non si vede mai la brava Paola Ventrella nelle parti soliste.

Che schifo di riprese. Un vero gesto di disprezzo verso la brava liutista, involontario ovviamente e dovuto alla totale ignoranza di chi ha fatto le riprese/montaggio. Che peccato.
