Hyvää huomenta! I've noticed you're recent videos are filmed with the Sony FDR-AX53, and Panasonic HC-VXF1 for oldest ones, I'm interested to know which camera are the best for plane spotting, could you tell me you're opinion? Thanks

Greetings! In my opinion, the Sony FDR-AX53 is the better choice as it produces more authentic colours, has better image stabilization and a battery life that gives nearly an hour more filming time than the Panasonic HC-VXF1. The Panasonic can produce sharp videos but lacks in overall image quality as I find the edges of the video to be much blurrier than with the AX53. It has also developed some focusing issues after two years of relatively heavy use, so I made the switch to the AX53 and haven't regretted it. I have done a lot of shooting in low light too and I think the Panasonic is better on that front, as I find it produces noticeably less noise in dark situations. The built-in microphone of the AX53 is horrible, although it's not really a problem for me since I use an external microphone. The HC-VXF1 has a surprisingly good built-in microphone but suffers heavily from wind noise on windy days. AX53 also has a Sony patented stabilization system (B.O.S.S), which means the entire lens element is "floating" inside the camera. This makes it easier to produce handheld panning shots of aircraft landing and taking off. So overall, I think the AX53 is the better camera of these two.
