Marie has a knack putting emotions across different songs. She can do sexy, sassy, bold, melancholia, playful, wistful among many other things....And I like that she doesn't over-sing even when she is belting out fast tempo songs, unlike singers today where they tend to that with all the unnecessary runs and ad-libs....

Another classic in Marie's sublime voice, beautiful. But don't forget to add "Call Of The Wild" and "From One Heart To Another" from the 1986 "Pearls Of Passion" album, "Things Will Never Be The Same" which has a fantastic ballad, "Silver Blue" , " The Rain " , among other wonders that you should explore from the duo, I'm sure you'll love it.

When they recorded "Room Service" Roxette was about to split. The day Marie had to sing M&T&H, she took a taxi to the studio and asked the driver to wait for her. She sang it, and immediately left the studio back home. By the way, the video was shoot in the Stockholm Archipelago.
@pumadog

The taxi story actually happened when she recorded some add-lips, not the main vocals. She didn’t get along with the co-producer of the album. Roxette planned to take a break after 2002, after the RS and NOTP tours and Hits compilation. That’s more than 2 years after the RS recordings.

I really like the orchestration they liked to use in every song, every song they did was like to feel like a "heaven's sensation" if we're talking about ballads, this one is another example of that. Some other wonderful ballads you didn't analize are "anyone", "salvation" and if if we're talking about Marie solo album, i think another great one is "Sparvöga" altought it's in swedish language -

This song always brings about serenity. It’s like what you said peaceful. A Sunday morning, feeling content, not being in the rat race of life. The simplicity of milk, toast, honey, coffee. Slow morning news pass me by. It all leans to a feeling of relaxing and being free of the stresses of life.

Love your reactions to these Song from Roxette 💖 Anton, I also love your frankness about your feelings/wants, it's very moving. It's weird but I've never had that desire to be "something" or "someone". Growing up I was very shut off, not aware of anything, friends would leave me and I never understood why😢 My mother called me useless, thick and stupid and that I would never be anything🤷 For Many years I felt angry, confused, hurt. Why wasn't I "normal"? 😢 But now, and I can't really explain this well, I feel that I'm flowing through my life and something/one is gently leading. 🤔 Yes the past still hurts, it has shaped me, has affected me, but I am me 😊

Just viewed a clip about the making of "Anyone" video. Marie was asked if she preferred to sing or be an actress. Marie replied, when she was younger she was torn between singing and acting, Singing was more in her heart. I can see the acting side of her when she sings and that totally shines through, making which ever song come alive, especially when it's performed Live.💖

Listen to your heart was written about a coming divorce of a friend of Per's. I kind of feel there was a lot of melancholy and darkness in Marie, below the surface. Judging by the music she wrote herself. I remember her saying that the one song Per wrote that she felt she could have written herself was 'you don't understand me'. I know you perhaps won't ever listen to the Swedish songs she wrote, but they tend to be darker and more melancholic than what Roxette was doing. Great songs, but just so different. And I know she had hopeful songs too, but melancholy is what I get from them.

With Room Service Roxette took the "rox" out of Roxette. The album, in my opinion, was a mess. Bad demo-like songs and weak, meaningless lyrics. It lacks passion.
