What can you do with ants? Can you farm, eat and eventually sell fungus produced by leaf-cutters or syrup from honeypots? Like you do with bees for ex.. I really love ants but can't find motivation for breeding them right now.

0:12 “our mission is to make ant keeping a highly acsessible and affordable hobby” Hell yeah, you’ve certainly done that. My ant keeping starter pack and outworld came yesterday and I couldn’t be happier! The acrylic is cut well and high quality, the tools feel like work was put into them, and the assortment of containers and test tubes in the starter kit were very pleasant to recieve

I think red harvester ants (Pogonomyrmex barbatus) would be really interesting to see a documentary on. I find that not many people talk about them, partially because of how common they are in the southern United States, but I think they're a really interesting species.

Would be cool, but also illegal
@archie.j.u5 жыл бұрын
The Last Dragon how exactly is that illegal lol.
@bouenyfolefack34895 жыл бұрын
Archie Underwood It’s illegal to ship ant queens to another country or here in the U.S. across state lines. This is because if some snot nosed kid decided they didn’t want ants anymore they could just drop them in the woods somewhere and BAM! You got an invasive species. This is why we have to deal with fire ants here in the U.S. Although fire ants weren’t brought over intentionally...

Great! pityfully i don't live in Australia, otherwhise you would be my favourite ant-shop.=) Since I live in Europe and we have similar ants (species) like North America it's exiting for me to see your next video. Formica species are amazing. They contribute a huuge part to help keep the forrests healthy. In most of Europe they are even protected by law and you're not allowed to moove, keep or even disturb them. You're not even allowed to remove one single worker-ant. Since you live in a tempered region i would like to hear what do you think about ant hybernation and how you would deal with it. Also what kind of ant you would like to keep if you lived in Europe or America/Canada and so one. I'm exited to see more of your creations and videos! To everyone who finds some mistakes in my comment: Congratulations, you can keep them!..=)
