Ants infested Epson scanner L5190 - this is how i cleaned it out

Thank you for the best video of any printer's maintenance I have ever viewed. I have had exactly the same problem, same species ants, the white eggs and exactly same spot under flatbed glass (South Africa). Happened during the easter weekend with ample time for the ants to invest this same model printer . Your video assisted me greatly with re assembling the flatbed scanner, especially the gears with that stupid small spring (lost it and replaced with similar). All working perfectly now. Thank you very much.

Look at 2:53 If those cables aren't properly seated, you'll get that error. Alternatively, it could be the sensor
